Recap:
The fans were in for a treat yesterday afternoon, as Roy Halladay pitched against Justin Verlander.

Verlander was smacked around by the Toronto offense, allowing 9 hits and 4 runs in only 5 innings of work. The tigers also hit very well against Halladay, however Roy pitched himself out of danger like he always does. Halladay allowed 10 hits and 2 runs through 7 innings.

Vernon Wells carried the offense for Toronto hitting two solo home runs. Every player in the Blue Jays lineup had a base hit with the exception being Alex Rios.

The series picks up again tomorrow, with Jesse Litsch taking on Armando Galarraga.

Recap:
Jesse Litsch and Armando Galarraga both pitched outstanding last night. Litsch gave up 8 hits and 2 runs in 7 innings, while Galarraga gave up 5 hits and 2 runs in 6 innings.

Carlos Guillen was an Offensive Powerhouse as he doubled twice and scored the game winning RBI in extra innings. Vernon Wells once again led the way for Toronto going 2-4 while hitting his 3rd HR in only the 2nd game of the season.

Brandon Lyon came into the game an inning later than scheduled(10th). However, the Jays made it interesting. Michael Barett walked with 1 out and moved to 2nd on a passed ball, Snider grounded out moving Barett to 3rd, and Scutaro and Hill walked on 4 pitches. Alex Rios then struck out to give Brandon Lyon his 1st save of the season.
