Team Preview

Catcher

- The Florida Marlins don't have the best the catcher in the game but John Baker can be a productive one. He'll call good games behind the plate and keep the hitters at the plate unbalanced. John is projeced to bat in the #8 spot in the lineup.

Infielders

- The Marlins infield is of course led by Hanley Ramirez, the shortstop. Then there is Dan Uggla, an All-Star last season, who him and Hanley look to form one of the best double-play combos in the game. At the corners are Jorge Cantu, at first and Emilio Bonifacio at third, who has the speed to burn.

Outfielders

- The outfield for the Marlins is very underrated but can struggle at times and expected this year to. Youngster Chris Coghlan will start at left, and this is his first MLB season. Smell errors? We'll see. At center is power-hitting Cody Ross, who at his shiort size, can hit 20+ homers any season. At right, is Jeremy Hermida, who can struggle at the plate but has a good glove at there at right.

Pitchers

- The Florida Marlins starting staff is very young and that can be bad and good. Their led by young phenom Josh Johnson, who is looking for a very good season. After that are Ricky Nolasco and Chris Volstad. These guys, just like the rest of the rotation, are young and can be productive. After that are Andrew Miller and rookie Sean West. These guys are going to be watched throughout the season, especially Sean West. He won the job over Burke Badenhop in Spring Training, so if he is not doing good, expect him to be put in the bullpen and Badenhop to replace him.

Re: robbycano's FINAL TRY: A Florida Marlins Chise' (09 The Show)

I have a Marlins chise myself, but in MLB 2k9. Ill definitely be following.

Hanley is a beast, as are Cantu and Uggla.

Andrew Miller is underrated imo, look for him to be a great pitcher for you.

Also, think about calling up Cameron Maybin at some point. He started off slow for me but has been tearing it up as of late.

Alright man, thanks for the tips. Yeah, I played a couple of spring training games and Maybin was very good. I'll see how he does in the minors before calling him up.
