NY's starter, Rick Aguilera, was sharp on the mound as he gave up 1 unearned run in 7.2 IP while striking out 8. The Mets hit a total of 6 doubles in the game, including back-to-back 2-baggers by D Strawberry & M Wilson to open up the 4th that got them on the board. Aguilera & the Mets' bullpen combined to give up just 5 hits in the 2-1 victory.

Pete Rose turns around to watch Mookie Wilson's run-scoring double bounce into the RF corner.

Re: Endless Summer: Following The '86 Mets Through A Classic Season

Thanks! I haven't been playing it much lately as I'm trying to complete my roster file for the '86 season on MLB '10. I've almost got 14 teams finished but it's been a long process without a lot of time to work on it. I was just thinking this morning that I should jump back in and play a few games of this. It's been the funnest season I've played in a long while. And yes, Knight has been unconscious for the better part of my season!
