Chapter 1
The Bus
It was late May in 2009. The school year was coming to an end in a matter of weeks. Graduation was only a mere week away. In addition, for Eric Follman it was the beginning of a new life. Eric Follman was within a months time be drafted by a major league team and he thought about it daily. However, for now he had to keep his mind on school and as hard as it seems he did. Eric got dressed and headed for his bedroom door took a last look at his lucky baseball and headed out. He headed downstairs where he was met by his sister Kirsten who was currently a sophomore in college. She didn’t even give him a look she was hurriedly getting ready for school as it started in 35 minutes.
Kirsten: Sorry Eric you’re going to have to ride the bus i'm running late
Eric: Yeah that’s a surprise. Ill be off then.
And without another word Eric left through the front door walked down the street and was enjoying the day. It looked like a perfect morning the sun just about rising but with still some fog in the air. Then Eric saw his good friend Jake emerges from his house with nothing but an Ipod.
Jake: Sup dude ridin the bus today are you
Eric: Yup, I hate it though
They entered the bus and the usual “Hey Eric wats up” came around. Most of these people Eric never talked to but he perceived they were nice to him because he was about to be a professional baseball player.
Eric took out his Chemistry book and was scanning it. Eric never seemed to know what Homework meant he always liked to think homework was something you do at school.
Eric: **** it I cant read in here
Eric put the book back down and was ready to endure another normal Monday at school for him at least
