in any event hes not HORRIBLE.
ok maybe he is, but hes better than the junk in the minors in the show i think, so the race is on.

i will be kicking it off soon.

I'll start it pre spring training with some of Kei's off season doings.

I want to do pics but not sure how to screen snap ps3 pics [anyone know how?]
videos obviously i can pull off via the shows video maker.

so yea, in a couple days I will start this up.

The show has a built in screen cap feature. When your playing a game bring up the XMB by pressing the "PS" button on your controller. Then click over to the photo section of the XMB, under that you should see an icon for taking a screenshot.

Well its about that time.

Kei Igawa has put away his PS3 and is getting ready to play games for real.
Will he be like Uncharted and go places he hasnt gone before in his career with NY?
or will it be more like World At War, and see him battling to the bloody end and be left limp and defeated after barely making it through a season of AA?

We will see as the 'Oh My! from Oarai' heads to camp, tomorrow.
But has he made the 40-man roster?

Will he take his ball and throw home?
or take it and 'go' home?

We will find out.

Well, spring training is upon us/Kei and he was told today he might make the 40-man roster. They had to find out tho if anyone else was not going to be able to do it. Then, they'd get back to him, if no one else called them back. In the meantime, Kei had bigger fish to fry. It was Bowman Media Day and Kei was getting his newest baseball card done.

He couldn't be happier. A new haircut. a new hobby collectable about to created. A new lease on life. A new common card will be born.

The pic was taken and sent out and by the end of the day, Kei had his card. He excitedly called his mama back in Oakai but alas there was no answer? Was she shopping, he thought? No, she hated shopping and thought it was for the devil.

But, later he wouldn't be happy.

It seems there was a mess up. The price to pay he thought later, for getting the cards "so darn quick".

Heres how it went down.

The printer showed up at Tampa to drop off the cards and Kei grabbed the batch before he even had time to get out of the shower. He ripped open the box and slowly but excitedly scanned through them. Beside the fact that they were all the same picture, he yelled "Why are they so damn wet!? I didn't pay for these to look this way"! The Card representative told him, 'Huh, you didn't pay for them at all, plus, they are wet because your still standing in the shower". He them apologized to her and offered to sign one of the cards. She nervously accepted, and handed him a pen along with a towel.

He signed the card. It felt so cool, he thought, that people wanted his autograph, that he signed the entire rest of the batch.

Later after eating a snack in the clubhouse, Alfredo Aceves came by and said hello. Kei was so excited bout the cards he decided to offer one to Alfie. He pulled out the box and as he was handing one to Aceves, he noticed another error.

The stupid printers had printed some scribble across the front of the card he was going to give along with the words 'To Rob,'. "This MUST be some kind of rookie prank!", he thought. Yes Kei knew he wasn't a rookie but it did say ROOKIE on his card. That was the second thing that irked him. "I've been here 4 years, man, 4 years. And this is how they do me"!!?? he scanned the cards. 'To Alex", 'To Joe', To Andy'. "WTH is this!?" he yelled. He almost started crying. Though bystanders noted it was more like a dull whine.

The scene he was causing got the attention of the printing rep he spoke to earlier. She came over, handed him a towel and said, "Kei, those names are on there because YOU signed them, remember? The shower? The wet cards?"? He paused for a moment, laughed, and resigned to the fact that he in fact DID. They all laughed and he handed her another card enscribed, 'To Hideki'l as he headed out to meet his mother.

It was disappointing sure, but he had other fish to fry. His mom was coming today. She would be here by the time he left for dinner. Which explains he figured, why she didn't answer the phone back in Japan.

But whatever the case, she was coming and tomorrow she's gonna watch her baby pitch!
