The 2010 Friar Report (MLB The Show 2010)

Going to take a stab at the Padres. Single season, keep transactions in the realm of possibilty.

See if we can get some wins out of this very young, very inexperienced ball club.

Re: The 2010 Friar Report (MLB The Show 2010)

No Player Moves Likely (For Now)

Padres GM Brian Krich indicated today that despite the fact Adrian Gonzalez is a hot commodity and the Padres need more talent and depth at a myriad of positions, the Padres would not be making any groundbreaking player moves in the near future.

There have been rumors the Padres have at the very least talked to free agent OF's Rocco Baldelli and Garret Anderson in an effort to get some depth and experience in the OF. Both are players with proven talent who can be had for a relatively cheap price due to injury (Baldelli) and age (Anderson)

Some speculate that they could also take a stab at either Hank Blalock or Joe Crede to be used a stopgap in case they do indeed move Gonzalez. Although it's more likely they would move Kyle Blanks back to his natural position at first base.

Roster Note:
The Padres placed Matt Stairs on Waivers and Stairs was claimed by the Boston Red Sox.
