"Game Recap"

Angel Salome looks to be coming into his own hitting very well the past few games and his 3rd homerun of the season gave his team a 4-0 lead in the 2nd inning. The Angels were so upset that Nate Schierholtz took out his frustrations out on the 1st base umpire and was promptly ejected (Pictured Above). The Angels did make a come back bid, but Jim Thome added a solo homerun in the 9th inning to go up by 2 and win the game.

"Game Recap"

The Angels salvage the 3rd game of the series and avoid the sweep. Brandon Morrow pitched the best he had all season going 7 innings allowing 1 run on only 2 hits, but Neftali Feliz would blow the lead in the 8th inning. Shon Schmitt got ahold of a hanging change up and sent it into the right field seats and Jim Edmonds nearly brought it back (Pictured Above) to tie the game 2-2 in the 8th inning. Skip Schumaker hit a slow chopper to 3rd with a man on 3rd base and David Wright would take the sure out at 1st instead of trying for the tag at home and the Angels would go on to win the game 3-2.

"Game Recap"

Seattle jumped out early on starter, Tommy Hanson with a Juan Rivera RBI single and a Jayson Werth solo homerun through 4 innings. The Oakland Athletics have been battling hard all season so far and Jay Bruce beat out a 2 out RBI single in the 7th inning to get back within 1 run. Jeff Suppan kept his team in the game and after a double by Austin Jackson to lead off the 9th inning Jay Bruce would send a fastball over the center field wall for the walk off 2 run homerun.

"Game Recap"

Oakland had a great chance to get back to .500 on the season against the division leading Mariners, but it was not meant to be. After a run in the 3rd by Seattle, David Wright hit a 2 run homerun and was quickly followed up by Jay Bruce with a solo shot to give Oakland a 3-1 lead. Oakland moved to 4-1, but a 3 run homerun by Robinson Cano ties it up in the 5th inning. In the bottom of the 8th, Angel Salome put Oakland back up by 1 leading the way for Trevor Hoffman in the 9th. Francisco Cervelli lead off the 9th with a double and was taking out of the game for pinch runner, Gregor Blanco. Mike Cameron hit a fairly deep shot to right field, but was caught by Jay Bruce and Blanco tried to make it to 3rd, but was gunned down for the 2nd out. Jimmy Rollins hit a single and Robinson Cano was walked to bring up Juan Rivera. Rivera hit a grounder to 3rd which was gobbled up by David Wright and after a quick glance at 3rd threw to 1st base, but the throw was off target and the bad throw (Pictured Above) cost the A's 2 runs and the lead. Hoffman blew up after that giving up 2 more run for a total of 4 in the inning. 0 earned.

The newest crop of superstars to hit the trading block. Seattle is a contender and to give up Jimmy Rollins with no return would be a huge blow, but help out Oakland in a big way.

"Game Recap"

Oakland blasted the Detroit Tigers today winning by a score of 11 to 5. Austin Jackson got the offense started with a 2 run homerun in the 3rd inning and David Wright made it back to back with a solo shot. Oakland would add 2 more in the inning and 3 in the 4th inning to go up 9-1. Jim Thome put the game way out of reach with a 2 run homerun in the 6th. Detroit would claw back with 3 runs late after Felix Hernandez (Pictured Above) would leave the game, but it was long over.

Re: The Future? | Oakland A's Fantasy Franchise

"Game Recap"

Oakland had a perfect opportunity to score in the 1st inning after a Alcides Escobar walk and steal of 2nd base with Austin Jackson moving him over to 3rd with 1 out, but Escober tried to score on a sharp grounder by David Wright and was tagged out at home. In the 2nd Oakland got their run and a early lead off of a Tyler Flowers RBI double to center scoring Jim Edmonds. Detroit would tie it back up in the 5th with a seeing eye single by Matt Holliday. Still tied in the 9th Antonio Yan hit a grounder to 2nd and Everth Cabrera get's his glove on it and threw a little high, but still catchable to James Loney at 1st, but the ball broke the glove of the 1st basemen (Pictured Above) and allowed the game winning run to score with 2 outs giving the Tigers a 2 to 1 victory.
