3. Jimmy Rollins (.417, 1 HR, 6 RBI)

Probable Pitchers (Subject to Change)

Kevin Correia (0-1, 1.29 ERA) vs. Joe Blanton (1-0, 0.60 ERA)

Ron Burgundy's Thoughts
We are taking just a short trip down the road, but it's not likely things are going to lighten up any. We have lost five games in a row, and now we have to go four games against the defending World Series Champions. These guys are stacked. Not only do they have very good pitching, they have an offense that can't be stopped. The team isn't just Ryan Howard, Chase Utley and Jimmy Rollins anymore, Jayson Werth has proven to be great, and Greg Dobbs is on fire to start the season. This has been a nightmare start to my GM career. Usually I'm the life of the party and love to have a good time, but this is taking it's toll on yours truly. We really need to win some games.

Phillies: Raul Ibanez (2-5, 2B, 2 RBI) (.222, 1 HR, 8 RBI)

Ron Burgundy's Game Notes
Another rough start for Jeff Niemann. He was going against a great offense though, we just got to give him time to settle in.
Our offense finally got something started up in this game, and it was even against a great pitcher.
We stuck with the Phillies all game long, that's a plus. Six games lost in a row, not so much.
We moved Scott Hairston to the leadoff spot for this game, and he really came through going 3-4 with a homer.
We'll probably switch between Hairston and Jody Gerut in the leadoff spot based on Righty/Lefty matchups.

Ron Burgundy's Game Notes
Seven games in a row we've lost now. At first I could take it with a grain of salt, now it's getting embarrassing.
Second time on this trip we've been held to three or less hits. Our offense is just terrible right now.
What's going on with Jake Peavy? I could write off two bad starts as a rough start, but he's starting to worry me.
I'm already getting pressure from people saying he has a huge contract and isn't performing, I could be asked to move him this year.
I can't wait for this trip to get over and get back to sunny San Diego and my furry friend Baxter.

Ron Burgundy's Game Notes
Make it eight games in a row. This is rough.
Our offense finally woke up today, too bad our pitching couldn't contain theirs.
Ryan Howard is a monster. That man literally scares me. I think he's on pace for a record season.
We finally have a hitter in Scott Hairston stepping up to the plate, it's about time somebody does.
One more game with Philly, then we have to play the Giants again. Where's the Pirates when you need them?

Ron Burgundy's Game Notes
We won a game! That's super duper! Neat-o gang!
Our offense has finally arisen. This is a couple of games in a row where we are putting numbers on the board.
I have a feeling this game will start to turn things around and put us on a better path.
Kevin Correia has been rock solid this year, Heath Bell almost blew another game though, he might get pushed out of the setup role.
Nick Hundley has been our star hitter this year, and he was our biggest question mark coming in.
Where's Adrian Gonzalez? He hasn't done anything this year. He and Peavy were our strong points, both have been terrible.

Re: San Diego Padres - Time To Get Classy (OOTP10)

Series Preview

San Diego Padres (2-11, 5th in NL West, 5.5 GB) @ San Francisco Giants (6-6, 2nd in NL West, 1.0 GB)

Giants Top Hitters
1. Nate Schierholtz (.318, 2 HR, 10 RBI)
2. Fred Lewis (.314, 1 HR, 7 RBI, 1 SB)
3. Bengie Molina (.326, 0 HR, 6 RBI)

Probable Pitchers (Subject to Change)
Shawn Hill (0-0, 1.69 ERA) vs. Randy Johnson (2-0, 3.21 ERA)
Jeff Niemann (0-2, 7.59 ERA) vs. Jonathan Sanchez (0-0, 5.73)

Ron Burgundy's Thoughts
Well here were are back on the west coast. This time we are pulling into the bay to take on the San Francisco Giants once again. This time it's only going to be a two game series, and we get very lucky since we don't have to face Big Time Timmy Jim. (Greatest Sportscenter commercial ever! Tim Lincecum is the man.) With a win in our last game it feels as if a weight has been lifted off the team, and we can work on catching up with the rest of the West, which isn't a long haul like it may look from our record. The division leaders are only at 7-5, so contention is still well in reach. And after this series we get to play the Pirates! That's good news in it's own.
