Re: Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB 11 The Show)

Want to be included into Marino's Franchise?

All you have to do is signup, tell me all the things you want your created player to be, name, number, height, weight, top 3 strengths/weaknesses, batting stance/pitching motion, appearance, etc.

Send me a request on here, and I will get it done. There is about 15-20 people already on here, including some of the top prospects (Mainly Dodgers), so sign up today!

Los Angeles Dodgers Top Prospects:

1. Kevin Rogers - Currently on the 60 Day DL, scheduled to be back within the next few weeks. Before the injury, Rogers was hitting .364 with 3 homers and 8 runs batted in, in 11 games. He is a 5 tool prospect who can and will help add punch to the Dodgers lineup for a long time when he gets the call up.

2. Dee Gordon - Called up briefly during the time when Furcal was on the Disabled List, Gordon has highly been touted to be the next Jimmy Rollins. While his power is not coming around, his speed and defense are bar none better than most prospects out there. Look for Gordon to be up again, maybe in September.

3. Trayvon Robinson - Another highly touted prospect in the Dodgers organization, has a terrific glove and speed to burn. Currently in AA right now, but could be called up as early as this year.

4. Zach Lee - The prospect that no one thought would sign with Los Angeles is currently tearing it up right now in AAA. He is projected to be ready in late 2012 to early 2013, so no need to rush him at the moment.

5. Rubby De La Rosa - This guy came out of nowhere to surprise the Dodgers staff, and is now slated to be one of the better pitchers down the road. Currently projected to be ready in 2012.

Los Angeles Dodgers (35-20)00000100x140

Kershaw Blanks The Rockies

Clayton Kershaw, the great young lefty for the Dodgers, pitched a 3 hit shutout against the Rockies on Monday night. He struck out 6 batters and only allowed 3 hits in a masterpiece that left many Rockies batters not looking forward to facing him later on.

The only run came on a 6th inning sac fly by Matt Kemp. That's it...nothing else.

Bullpen Falters Late in Loss

In a back and forth game, the Rockies managed to strike across 4 runs late in the 7th and 8th innings to knock off the Dodgers. Billingsley and Hammel both pitched excellently but the trio of Belisario, Guerrier and Kuo allowed 4 runs late as the Rockies managed to topple the Dodgers on a Tuesday night.

Dodgers Rally Falls Apart as Colorado Takes Series

The Rockies jumped on Ted Lilly early, knocking him around for 5 runs in 5 innings. Colorado had their ace on the hill, and was rolling until the 8th when the Dodgers got 3 runs, including 2 from a James Loney HR.

The Dodgers had 2 on in the 9th with 2 outs, but Kemp hit a comebacker right off the pitcher who threw to first getting the out and the series win for Colorado.

UP NEXT FOR LOS ANGELES:

Los Angeles will be heading to Cincinnati for a 3 game series with the NL Central winning Reds.

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB 11 The Show)

Furcal's Blast Leads LA past Cincy.
June 3, 2011

Pitching Matchup: Hiroki Kuroda vs Johnny Cueto

Cincinnati, OH- The Dodgers entered the long 10 game road trip with a series in Cincinnati. The Reds, who have been struggling of late, tried to jump on Kuroda early with runs in the 1st and 4th inning. But once Kuroda settled down, the bats silenced. That has been Kuroda's MO this year, if you do not get to him early, you will not get to him.

The bats for the Dodgers took a little while to get going, but in the 5th, they exploded. Lead by a Rafael Furcal 3 run shot, which pushed the Dodgers from a 2-2 tie, to a 5-2 lead.

Los Angeles manged to get a few runs in the 7th and 9th, and had a 7-2 lead. Guerrier came in to clean it up, and managed to get 2 quick outs. But then the ball started having a eyes. He gave up a run and left the bases loaded for Jonathan Broxton to come in and do the dirty work. Broxton struck out Drew Stubbs with the bases loaded to pick up save number twenty on the season.

Re: Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB 11 The Show)

I had a nice setup for game 2 of the Reds series, but human error caused that to be erased. Back to series recaps now. But I will try to make them more visually pleasing.
