First year manager Don Mattingly will lead the Dodgers as they try to make their first World Series appearance since 1988. The team has plenty of star power led by ace Clayton Kershaw and superstar Matt Kemp. Chad Billingsley is a formidable #2 in the rotation with Hiroki Kuroda providing some veteran leadership to the rotation along with Ted Lilly. Offensively the Dodgers are expected to struggled, Andre Ethier and Rafael Furcal will have to have big years for the Dodgers to compete in a tough NL West.

There is plenty of talent at the top in the farm system with Gordon, Lee, Withrow, and De La Rosa all appearing in Baseball America's Top 100 Prospects. Overall the organization ranks 20th, so after the top several plays there is a major drop off. In the next few years the team will look to address several wholes in the system, with a priority on finding a future catcher.
