Re: The Eye of the Tiger: A Detroit Tigers Franchise (MLB 2K12)

Series Recap for May 22nd-24th:
Detroit (26-16) @ Cleveland (17-24)

Game 1: Boesch homer not enough for Tigers who fall 5-2

Detroit's only offense of the day came from Brennan Boesch on a homer and a Delmon Young RBI single, hardly an encouraging sign for a team that thought it had fixed its offensive woes. Tomlin locked down Detroit and pitched to a lot of contact in his 6.1 innings of work. Scherzer continues to have one bad inning that plagues him in games, this time being the 3rd inning in which he allowed 3 runs and 5 hits.

Game 2: Porcello and Tigers roughed up again, Cleveland wins 8-3

This one is tough to swallow for Detroit, they had a good performance from Rick Porcello through 5 innings and he looked good to go back out for the 6th, he gave up 4 runs in the frame and exited for Colin Balester. Balester gave up 2 runs of his own and so did Daniel Schlereth. All 3 pitchers allowed a HR ball. Miguel Cabrera homered for the 18th time this season and Brennan Boesch left with a pulled hamstring, he's out 2 weeks.

Game 3: LaPorta Walk-off HR seals Sweep for Indians

Matt LaPorta took Jose Valverde deep in the 9th inning with a runner on 2nd base and 2 outs to give the Tigers their 3rd straight loss after 5 straight wins. Valverde blows his first save of the season and in the process blows a win for young Jacob Turner. The Tigers took a lead early and didn't really doubt they could win this one, but it slipped away late.

Thanks, I apologize to everyone following me here as I have the Minnesota series to post but I have been SO busy the last week or so that I really keep forgetting to do it...plus I regained interest in NCAA basketball and did a little bit with my coaching career dynasty I'd been meaning to post. But no worries, at the very latest you'll have another series to digest (went MUCH better than this one) by mid-day Saturday

I personally like the old one better, but I'm guessing the MINNY series was easier and quicker to do.

It was a little faster, but the only reason I did the Minny series like that was like I said, to try something new. The old way didn't bother me or consume too much time. Just wanted to try something new, and that was the simplest way to do that and get the series up quick.
