Twins defeated by Orioles

Twins can't overcome Orioles, lose game outside there division. The Twins suffered a 4-0 loss to the Orioles last night, with 48,876 fans on hand at Orioles Park. Carl Pavano (0-1) wasn't particularly effective in a losing effort, pitching 5 and two thirds innings and yielding 3 runs on 6 hits. Joe Mauer went 1-for-3 on the day, in what was a very quiet day at the plate. Game 2 of the series is a day game with the visiting Twins going with Scott Baker (0-0, 0.00) and the Orioles planning to start Zach Britton (0-0, 0.00).
