Re: Cleaning House: A Houston Astros Story

Carlos Lee could almost feel what was coming next, there is just noway possible he couldn't see it coming. I mean the man bad mouthed a team pretty bad so what did he expect.

Re: Cleaning House: A Houston Astros Story

Houston did not just do what i think they just did. Game 3 of the 3 game set against the newly hated Marlins turned out to be a dominate game from J.A. Happ going 8 strong innings to help Houston get to their second win of the season.

Houston's bats were hot today, but the main question is, can they maintain this and keep there bats hot or will they die out. I guess only time will tell, but they looked really strong today as they seemed to figure some things out.

haha good stuff between Lee and Lyles.. Lyles probably should be suspended for trying to end Lee's existence, but as we know in baseball, accidents happen right?

let's go back to before game 3 when there was interviews about what happened.

The 3 game set for Miami is over and Jonathn couldn't be happier. It was getting serious out there and then Houston took game 3, it was about to get ugly and everybody knew it. As Jonathan looks over rosters and figures out what's going to happen moving forward, the secretary yells across the hall.

Jonathan hangs up the phone and is just shaking his head wondering what can be done here. Jonathan is the type of guy that doesn't let somebody push him around and he damn sure isn't gonna let the team get pushed around by some punk that's mad because he got traded.

Just to let everybody who follows this know, I will not be updating this till some time probably Sunday evening. I will have a lot of updates by then. I'm going out of town for the weekend and didn't bring the Laptop. Playing on the vita and the iPad won't let me copy the code for all the box scores. So I will still be getting playing time in from the vita. Just can't update till I get home. Just a heads up

Re: Cleaning House: A Houston Astros Story

Finally made it back after a nice little weekend vacation. Im currently a couple weeks ahead of yall in the story due to not having access to a computer. But now im back and will get yall caught up.

The Astros got off to a nice little 4 game winning streak as both Weiland and Norris both proved to be lights out against the Nationals. Weiland threw a 6 hit complete game shutout striking out 12. Norris was able to go the full 9 giving up 1 run on 7 hits and striking out 6.

The short little 4 game win streak came to a end in Washington when they took the last game of the series. But we took 3 out of 4 from them and are feeling good about ourselves at the moment.

But not so fast, this is the Astros were talking about.... The Astros dropped the next 6 getting swept by the dodgers before we was finally able to pick up another win and avoid the sweep in Milwaukee.

Lost the next series to the Reds, but won the next one against the mets. Then lost the series to St. Louis. Which brings Houston the a 10-18 record and sitting 7 games back of St. Louis in the division.

Lowrie has been a stud hitting .333 with 11HR(Tied for the lead league with CarGo) but only 15 RBI. Brett Wallace has sucked all year, Schafer started off strong but getting back to his self at sucking and Chris Johnson isn't far behind him.

That Brings us to today May 6th, 2012. The day before the red hot Marlins come to town and theres nothing more that i would love then to sweep the newly hated Marlins.

Jonathan's office
Jonathan is going over abunch of stats and scouting reports and he's just agrivated to hell and back with this team and the lack of production that has happened as of late.

As Brad leaves the room, Jonathan has work to do... And that consist of making moves. Harrell has been hot in AAA while Jordan Lyles has played like crap. Harrell has posted a 3-2 record and has a sub 1 ERA while Lyles can't even get below a 5 ERA

While Lyles makes a trip up to Oklahoma City to help out the AAA team, Harrell is on his way to Houston as he gets called up.

Maxwell will be taking over the reins in Center for Schafer since he cant figure out how to get on base or be productive in any kind of way. Matt Dominguez is hitting .320 with 3HR and 18RBI, hes getting called up as well to take over for Johnson till he can figure out how to work out the kinks.

The biggest problem here is what the hell are we going to do at first, Thats exactly what Jonathan has been thinking this whole entire time, since the only MLB ready first baseman on this roster Brett Wallace we might just have to dig into the free agency pool and go get somebody, because lets face it, Brett got off to a hot start but cooled off quick. He cant even hit about .200 on the year and that just cant be put up with. So off to free agency we go..... And look at who we find Derrick Lee. He might be a little on the old side, but lets face it, im sure he can produce better then Wallace can and we only have to sign him for the year. Sure somebody should be ready for next year.

As Jonathan is sitting there weighing the odds, he wonders if its really going to be worth Calling up Mr. Lee and trying to get him into Houston for the year.
