Yes, we SHALL see..... Nice little competition between two chises we got going on here!

I'll try to push out an opening day update tonight. Have to get to sleep early, though, because I'm going down to Buffalo for the day tomorrow.

Opening day!

Well, that's more gloomy than I figured that it would be. Sadly, it'd get gloomier.

You know what that is? That's Ricky watching a 3 run bomb from the bat of JOSE LOPEZ get out. Jose Lopez doesn't even know who Jose Lopez is....

And then he did it again! To Hafner, this time.

That about sums up the day. Wild Thang, you make my heart sing....

Ricky gave up six runs, we scored two. You can do the math. The Jays lose on opening day, 6-2.

6 Game Update
Record: 1-5
Team ERA: 6.00
Team AVG: .248

Studs: Jose Bautista is hitting .400, Brett Lawrie is hitting .286, and Colby Rasmus is hitting .280. Lind is hitting .286 with 2 of our homers on the year. Nothing for pitching except JA Happ's complete game, 10 SO shutout.

Duds: Every pitcher who has started a game besides Happ and Webb, Rajai Davis (despite having 20% of our homers), Yunel Escobar, J.P. Arencibia.

Ridiculously bad: Yes, I created a new category for these him. After playing horribly in Spring, Kelly Johnson is hitting .053. Yes, you read that right. One hit in 19 ABs. Which leads to......

Not to nit-pick...but .53 is the same as .530. What you mean is .053

Oops! That'd be excellent, though.... Fixed.

I need someone to remind me tomorrow: SET THE TRAINING ASSIGNMENTS! Lol, if I don't, none of my mid B's will progress, haha, and none of prospects will progress correctly.

Re: It's Not All Hockey Up Here, Eh?: A Toronto Blue Jays Dynasty

Well, training assignments have been set, call ups have been (for the most part) dated, and everything is in place. Oh yeah, and there was a game to play!

It was a good night for baseball at the Skydome.

Brandon Morrow would strike out the first batter. Looking good, right? No. After Xavier Avery hit a double, Adam Jones hit a triple. C'mon, son. No worries, though. Brett 'Gordie Dougie' Lawrie's got your back, making it 1-1.

After a double from Double-E, Edwin Encarnacion (see what I did there?), Adam Lind would smoke another double off the wall to make it 2-1.

After Arencibia lined one to center for a single in the bottom of the second, and Davis bunted him over, Kelly Johnson struck out. Interesting;

Lawrie then lined one to JJ Hardy, who completely missed it, allowing JP to score. Then, in the bottom of the 4th, Colby Rasmus and Rajai Davis would both double. 4-1.

Brandon Morrow felt like dealing today. Bunch of K's, not many base ruunners, the Morrow we love.

JPA going tank job with Yunel on first to give us a 6-1 lead! With Morrow dealing, it should be in the bag! Arrieta would be yanked after 6 runs.

Adam Lind says, "HELLO!" with a two run BOMB, 421 feet! This game just kept on getting better!

Morrow would give up a solo homer to Wilson Freakin' Betimit, and JP Arencibia would miss a tag at the play for Morrow's other two runs. His final stat line was 7.2 IP, 3 ER, 10 SO, 8 H, 0 BB to lower his ERA to 4.61. Great start.

Darren Oliver and Brad Lincoln would both give up runs to make it close, 5-8, before Casey Janssen came and said, "You fools need to get yo s**t together!" and closed things out for the save. Adam Lind is your player of the game. Final score: Toronto Blue Jays 8, Baltimore Orioles 5.

Shake that, Ace!
