Yankees Fantasy Draft Dynasty (The Show 10)

Drafted a team a few days ago, just thought to put it up on here. I'm right now 22-6 (I've played 10 of the 28, I'm 7-3) and atop the AL East by a good 6 games. Here's my roster, I'll do a pre and post game press conference for every game.
Rotation:
Felix Hernandez (1.39 ERA, 4-1, 6 GS, 6 QS, 45.1 IP, 0 CG, 0 SHO, 33 H, 7 ER, 2 HR, 8 BB, 50 K, 0.90 WHIP)
Roy Oswalt (5-0, 1.65 ERA, 6 GS, 6 QS, 43.2 IP, 2 CG, 1 SHO, 34 H, 8 ER, 4 HR, 12 BB, 39 K, 1.05 WHIP)
Andy Pettite (3-0, 3.64 ERA, 6 GS, 4 QS, 42.0 IP, 1 CG, 0 SHO, 32 H, 17 ER, 4 HR, 11 BB, 37 K, 1.02 WHIP)
Justin Masterson (2-1, 3.91 ERA, 5 GS, 3 QS, 25.1 IP, 0 CG, 2 SHO, 32 IP, 11 ER, 3 HR, 12 BB, 16 K, 1.74 WHIP)
Tim Wakefield (Originally Smoltz) (1-0, 2.65 ERA, 1 GS, 5 GP, 0 QS, 0 CG, 0 SHO, 15 H, 17.0 IP, 5 ER, 2 HR, 2 BB, 16 K, 1.00 WHIP)
Bullpen:
John Smoltz (2-1, 5.84 ERA, 5 GS, 2 QS, 0 CG, 0 SHO, 32 H, 24.2 IP, 16 ER, 4 HR, 8 BB, 20 K, 1.66 WHIP)
Leo Nunez (3-0, 3.97 ERA, 11 GP, 9 H, 11.1 IP, 5 ER, 2 HR, 2 BB, 5 K, 0.97 WHIP)
Deivi Pinto (0-0, 13.50 ERA, 6 GP, 9 H, 2.2 IP, 4 ER, 2 HR, 3 BB, 6 K, 4.50 WHIP)
Justin Speier (3-1, 1.98 ERA, 13 GP, 11 H, 13.2 IP, 3 ER, 1 HR, 4 BB, 14 K, 1.10 WHIP)
Tim Byrdak (0-1, 0.93 ERA, 7 GP, 6 H, 9.2 IP, 1 ER, 6 BB, 8 K, 1.24 WHIP)
Arthur Rhodes (2 SVs, 0-0, 5.40 ERA, 6 GP, 3 H, 5 IP, 3 ER, 1 HR, 2 BB, 6 K, 1.00 WHIP)
Mike Adams (2 SVs, 0-1, 1.00 ERA, 9 GP, 6 H, 9.0 IP, 1 ER, 0 HR, 2 BB, 8 K, 0.89 WHIP)
Mariano Rivera (11 SVs, 0-0, 3.00 ERA, 13 GP, 13 H, 12 IP, 4 ER, 1 HR, 4 BB, 12 K, 1.42 WHIP)

Starting Lineup (vs. RHP)
Ichiro (.300/.363/.542, 5 HR, 16 RBI, 10/13 SB, 10 2B, 2 3B, 27 R)
Michael Young (.250/.283/.425, 3 HR, 13 RBI, 0/0 SB, 10 2B, 1 3B, 17 R)
Robinson Cano (.294/.338/.460, 4 HR, 21 RBI, 0/0 SB, 7 2B, 1 3B, 16 R)
Russell Branyan (.310/.406/.655, 10 HR, 25 RBI, 0/0 SB, 0 2B, 0 3B, 15 R)
Nick Swisher (.258/.333/.361, 2 HR, 5 RBI, 0/0 SB, 4 2B, 0 3B, 12 R)
Jim Thome (.321/.397/.563, 7 HR, 13 RBI, 0/0 SB, 6 2B, 0 3B, 21 R)
Jorge Posada (.333/.398/.613, 6 HR, 15 RBI, 1/1 SB, 8 2B, 0 3B, 13 R)
Jacoby Ellsbury (.301/.354/.369, 0 HR, 14 RBI, 10/15 SB, 7 2B, 0 3B, 12 R)
Everth Cabrera (.329/.369/.519, 4 HR, 17 RBI, 6/6 SB, 4 2B, 0 3B, 10 R)
Bench: Marcus Thames (.284/.354/.511, 4 HR, 18 RBI, 0/0 SB, 6 2B. 1 3B. 12 R), Melvin Mora (.350/.442/.775, 4 HR, 12 RBI, 0/0 SB, 3 2B, 1 3B, 9 R), Brad Ausmus (.300/.300/.500, 0 HR, 3 RBI, 0/0 SB, 4 2B, 0 3B, 1 R)

Strategy: I'm aggressive on the basepaths to a Billy Martin-esque level. With Ichiro, Cabrera and Ellsbury burning up the basepaths and a lot of effective contact hitters, I like to steal a lot, hit and run a lot and drop down bunts. I've been getting good bench production from Mora (who makes spot starts around the infield and occasionally in left), Thames has yet to really start to bomb. I get have a pretty good amount of team power, too so scoring runs isn't really a problem. My starting rotation is the second best in the league after Toronto (Peavy c. 2010, Verlander AND Clayton Kershaw...ouch) and my bullpen has been pretty good so far, obviously locked down at the back end by Mo. So far, this has been a really fun team to play with.

Re: Yankees Fantasy Draft Dynasty (The Show 10)

Today's Game - New York Yankees (22-6, 1st, Andy Pettite) vs. the Boston Red Sox (15-15, 3rd, Aaron Harang)
Lineup: Ichiro 8, Young 5, Cano 4, Branyan 3, Posada 2, Thome DH, Thames 9, Ellsbury 7, Cabrera 6

Pre-game Conference
"Has last night's loss eroded your faith in the bullpen at all?"
No, not at all. They've been good for us all year, Mike just had a rough night. He'll bounce back, I'm ready to use him today. It was just an unfortunate time for him to surrender his first run, it's going to happen to everyone.

"Anything up with Swisher?"
Nope. Just a regular day off.

So far, Miguel Tejada has really been the Sox's biggest source of offense against you guys, any specific strategies going into to today's game?"
He's swung a hot bat against us, but I'm not circling him on the order or anything. I have faith in Andy's ability to shut them down.

Re: Yankees Fantasy Draft Dynasty (The Show 10)

Final Score: 15-2 Yankees (23-6), Red Sox fall to 15-16

4 2 6 0 0 2 0 1 0/15/16/9
0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 2/2/3/0

W: Andy Petitte (3-0, 3.64), 9 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 5 K
L: Aaron Harang (1-6, 8.05), 2.1 IP, 7 H, 9 ER, 3 BB, 5 K

Yankees Batting:
2B: Posada (8), Ichiro (10)
3B: Thames (1)
HR: Branyan (10), Young (3)
RBI: Posada (15), Branyan 3 (25), Young 3 (13), Cabrera 3 (17), Ellsbury 2 (14), Thames (18), Ichiro (16)
HBP: Young, Ellsbury
SB: Cabrera (6), Ichiro (10)
CS: Ellsbury (5)

Red Sox Batting:
2B: Eric Byrnes (8)
RBI: Eric Byrnes (15), Johnny Damon (27)

Notes: Petitte had a no-hitter through 7 IP, then wore out in the 9th and gave up the only two runs. The bullpen was sort of abysmal last night, so I wanted to give them a day off.

“What was your approach out there? You guys had a lot of success against Harang and didn’t really stop hitting all night.”
We just tried to take pitches and work the count like the Yankees always do. He was having trouble locating his pitches and Jorgie and Jacoby came up big for us in the first inning and once we got our fot in the door, it seemed like they couldn’t get us out.
“The double steal in the 4th when you were already up by 8 runs seemed uncharacteristic.”
Well normally you call off the dogs in that situation, but they kept plunking Yankees so I sent Ichiro and Everth [Cabrera] on that double steal and it worked. Mikey [Young] was able to knock in Everth on the next pitch on a ground ball that would have been a DP for sure. I didn’t call for any more steals after that.
“Who was more impressive tonight, Petitte or the offense?”
Well I don’t know about ‘more impressive’ but I can’t say enough about what Andy was able to give us out there. No hitter for seven innings, he kind of lost his touch in the 9th there, but at that point, the innings were more valuable than the deficit. I wanted to give our bullpen a good night’s rest, so him going the distance was huge.
