This is BirdLand | Baltimore Orioles 'Chise (MLB 12)

Hey guys, this is my first baseball 'chise on here so bear with me. I will try to make this last until I get my hands on MLB 13 The Show. This 'chise will consist of many articles and daily game recaps. The recaps will only be written on the games that i play. I will not be playing all 182 games because it will take too long. I will play all of the divisional games (Blue Jays, Yankees, Red Sox, Rays) and some non-divisional games depending on the pitching match up. Ready to get started on this and hope you guys enjoy it!

Baltimore Orioles 2012 Season Preview
The Baltimore Orioles have made a habit out of occupying the cellar in the American League East.

The O's are heading into 2012 with a string of four straight last-place finishes. They haven't won as many as 70 games since 2006.

So will things be any better this season? Are the O's on the cusp of a breakout?

Let's discuss the matter in depth. Read on for a full breakdown of how the Orioles are shaping up heading into the 2012 season.

2011 Record: 69-93

Projected Rotation

RHP Jeremy Guthrie
LHP Zach Britton
RHP Jake Arrieta
LHP Brian Matusz
RHP Rick VandenHurk

Projected Starters

C: Matt Wieters

1B: Chris Davis

2B: Brian Roberts

3B: Mark Reynolds

SS: J.J. Hardy

LF: Endy Chavez

CF: Adam Jones

RF: Nick Markakis

DH: Nolan Reimold

Bullpen

Closer: RHP Jim Johnson

RHP Armando Galarraga
LHP Dana Eveland
RHP Kevin Gregg
RHP Tommy Hunter
LHP Troy Patton
RHP Darren O'Day

Final Thoughts

All things considered, 2012 should end up being more of the same for the Orioles. Obviously, that's not a good thing.

I'll admit that there is some hope in certain areas of this team, but there are no reasons to think the O's will be able to compete in the American League East. It's a top-heavy division, and the Toronto Blue Jays are leaps and bounds ahead of the Orioles in talent.

It's looking like another last-place finish.

Projected Record: 67-95, fifth in AL East.

This is looking nice even though I utterly HATE the Orioles and any Baltimore team! But anyway I hope you do something out of nowhere like a shock, guess we'll have to wait!!!

Late A-Rod Home Run Helps Yankees Stay Undefeated

April 9, 2012 | vs New York Yankees

A-Rod hits go ahead home run in the 10 inning to help Yankees stay undefeated

Baltimore,MD --The first match up against the Yankees was a heart breaking loss for the Orioles. After winning the series against the Minnesota Twins, the Orioles were looking to do the same against the Yankees. Their plans were washed away, when Alex Rodriguez hit a clutch home run in the 10 inning to win the game for the Yankees. After the Yankees struck first in the first inning, the Orioles answered back as Mark Reynolds hit a 2-run home run to right field. Things looked promising for the orioles as they held the lead until the 7th innings. Thats when Robinson Cano hits a RBI double and then, obviously, 3 innings later, Alex Rodriguez hits the game go ahead home run.

Game 2 of this 3 game series will be play tomorrow at 7:05 PM. The project pitching match up is Rick Vandenhurk of the Orioles and Ivan Nova of the Yankees. Both pitchers will be making their first starts of the year in this game.

How do you get the two team's stats to be side by side and not in a list-type format???
