Glad I looked at the dynasty threads, I knew I accidentally deleted a thread, but was to lazy to see which one it was. I got lucky!

Wow. That was all Josh had to say about this kid from the University of Michigan, and no it had nothing to do with their Final Four basketball program. This was the baseball program and they just defeated Michigan State 4-1. The win was nice for the Michigan program, but the win had nothing to do with his state of awe. That could be attributed to the powerful right handed starter of today's ballgame for Michigan in Jon Gosser. Gosser grew up right down the street from Josh and Brandon in the town of Northville and it was well known he would be the top recruit in all of college baseball should he choose to play. He was drafted in the 7th round of the 2008 draft but opted for college instead. A degree was Jon's first priority, but big league baseball was without a doubt his dream. Jon had all the tools to be a big league ace, a high 90's fastball, a sharp curve, and a devastating changeup. Not to mention the moxie and composure that any solid big leaguer has (think Justin Verlander, Stephen Strasburg confidence.) Gosser's delivery had some issues but Josh believed with a quick tweak to his timing everything would fix itself.

All that said, Josh knew he had to convince Cho to take a shot on a kid with like this when Miami needed so much more than a starting pitcher. In their scouting meeting a week prior, Aaron told his scouts to look for projectable power arms and power hitting. But to be wary of finding a Kerry Wood or Mark Prior instead of a Justin Verlander or Felix Hernandez. Pitching prospects were always tricky, but Josh was confident about this one.

He knew pitching but he also knew that the guy he was sent here to take a look at performed at an incredibly high level as well. Josh was sent to this game to look at Norm Fitzgerald, the Michigan First Baseman. Fitzgerald hit 2 homers and went 3-3 with a walk and all 4 of the RBIs. Fitzgerald was the total package, he could hit for average, power, he gets on base, he could defend. etc. Cho loved him and was ready to throw their first pick into this guy, and you know what? Josh did too...the problem is Gosser could be THE guy on the Marlins pitching staff. Josh wasn't looking forward to this meeting, but he had to do it. He had to meet with Aaron Cho and try to convince him that a can't miss first basemen was worth missing for a pitching prospect that many weren't high on. Just great...Josh was really starting to like it in Miami too.

I think everyone in the baseball section of OS has a collective hate of MSU after... what happened lol.

Nice update. Hopefully you're not gonna start Fernandez in the MLB like the real Marlins haha.

Reasons why this doesn't work: Snider, Travis.

Super 2 + possibly not ready = no J-Fer hopefully lol.

Didn't you both read the Opening Day Roster? Notice who wasn't on it...and as to the draft, you'll have to wait and see. Who says there won't be another guy that comes from nowhere?

Re: Meaningless In Miami: A Miami Marlins Franchise (The Show)

Alright guys...I know I haven't been around recently but I just found out some very disappointing news when I tried to load my save file.

That SoB is corrupt. So this dynasty is as dead as well, dead things. My plan is to start another dynasty, but one without backstory and it is a play 162 gamer (paying homage to all the great dynasty guys who have done this.) So stay tuned
