CarGo put the Rockies on the board early when his three-run homer just evaded the glove of Shane Victorino in the 1st







David Ortiz cut the lead to 3-1 when he crushed a fastball to right field for a solo shot in the 2nd






Michael Cuddyer pushed the lead back out to 5-1 when he drove a two-run homer over the Green Monster







Not surprisingly, Saltalamacchia drilled another home run in the series, this one making the score 5-2 in the 5th







Dustin Pedroia made things a little too close when he cut the lead to just two thanks to a towering homer to left






Following Rafael Betancourt's meltdown in Game 3, Rex Brothers came on to collect the Save and finish the ballgame

UP NEXT: With the series tied once again, both teams will try to take advantage as the trip to Fenway concludes tomorrow night. Left-hander Jorge De La Rosa will get the start for the Rockies as they attempt to take their first lead in the series, as they've played catch-up throughout this one. If they can take a lead heading back to Coors Field for the final two games, they'll have a lot of confidence in their chances of taking home the World Series Title. However, standing in their way will be the right arm of Clay Buchholz. Buchholz has had an outstanding postseason, despite taking the loss in Game 2. First pitch from Fenway is at 5:05 pm MT.

Sox Outlast Rox For Victory In Fenway Finale

Clay Buchholz was on fire in Game 5, picking up 10 strikeouts in 7.0 innings







Corey Dickerson singled back up the middle in the 3rd to drive in Colorado's first run of the game






The lead was short lived however, as Dustin Pedroia drove in a pair with an RBI single







Shane Victorino padded things in the 6th with an RBI base hit







Rickie Weeks scampered home on a wild pitch to cut the deficit to 3-2 in the 8th






Victorino delivered a pair of much needed insurance runs for the Sox with a double down the left field line






Todd Helton, looking for his first World Series Title, singled in a run in the 9th, but it wasn't enough for the Rox

UP NEXT: With a day off for travel, both teams head back to Denver for, at least, Game 6, and possibly Game 7. With elimination looming, the Rockies will turn to Yovani Gallardo in Game 6. Gallardo pitched well in his last start, in a game that went 13 innings, a game the Rockie eventually lost. He'll be opposed once again by left-hander Jon Lester. Yovani Gallardo turned in a huge start in an elimination game, keeping the Rox season alive







Wilin Rosario came up big defensively, throwing out Jacoby Ellsbury in the first inning






A base hit scored a run for the Red Sox, but the second run was cut down at the plate







Todd Helton dropped an RBI single just down the left field line, tying things up at 1-1







Nolan Arenado came in to score on a sac fly off the bat of Corey Dickerson, giving Colorado the lead






Troy Tulowitzki robbed a couple of base hits with some outstanding defensive gems






Will Middlebrooks mishandled a shallow pop-up in the 8th keeping the inning alive






And, Wilin Rosario delivered a two-run homer to left, his third of the series

UP NEXT: It all comes down to this. The Rockies and Red Sox will face off in a winner-take-all contest. Game 7 will pit two #1 right-handers against one another as Jhoulys Chacin (3-1, 1.97 ERA) will start for Colorado, and Jake Peavy (3-1, 2.21 ERA) for Boston. Things got off to an odd start, as Mike Napoli was injured fielding an infield single from Corey Dickerson







After a double play moved a runner to third, CarGo delivered a base hit to give Colorado the early lead






It was all zeros until the 7th, when a strikeout/wild pitch loaded the bases with two outs for the Rox







And, pinch-hitter Chris Davis promptly unloaded the bases with a three-run double







But, things are never easy. Rafael Betancourt continued to struggle, giving up an RBI triple in the 8th






And a sac fly to the track in left from David Ortiz cut Colorado's lead in half






That's as close as the Sox would get though, as Rex Brothers tossed a 1-2-3 ninth inning to slam the door
