Five Run Sixth Pushes Rays Past Jays

Evan Longoria's 3-run shot in the sixth helped spark the Rays offense

The Good: Designated Hitter Adam Lind continued his hot start to the season, going 2-3 with a triple and a walk. Drew Hutchison was cruising until the sixth inning, where he gave up five runs. Esmil Rogers worked two hitless innings out of the bullpen, striking out 2 Rays.

The Bad: Hutchison could've won the game had he avoided the long ball in his final inning of work.

Blue Jays Offence Opens Up, Destroy Rays

The Good: Blue Jays outfielding Melky Cabrera went 3-5 with two home runs and a double, showing that he has fully recovered from a malignant tumor that hindered his play last season. Seven of the nine players in the batting lineup picked up RBIs in the win.

The Bad: Although Mark Buehrle managed to limit the Rays to only 5 runs, he surrendered 15 hits in the seven innings of work, but luckily got picked up by the Blue Jays offence. The Blue Jays were unsuccessful on the base paths, getting thrown out twice in three steal attempts.

Jays Take Series In Extras Behind Costly Defensive Miscue

Desmond Jennings' diving attempt at Jose Reyes' line drive wound up being the difference, as Reyes would circle the bases on the defensive miscue.

The Good: Brandon Morrow showed us what he is capable of doing, dominating the Rays over seven innings allowing five hits and a mere 1 run. The bullpen was also able to do their job, shutting down the Rays offense for the final six innings of the game.

Dioner Navarro continued to carry the offense, launching a solo homer in the sixth inning to put the Jays ahead and break the 0-0 deadlock.

The Bad: The Blue Jays offense struggled against Rays starter Jeremy Hellickson and the bullpen, but were able to squeeze out enough runs to get the win. Following his dominating performance in the previous game, Melky Cabrera laid an egg, going 0-6 at the plate, all the while killing a rally in the 8th and 11th innings.

Thanks man. I believe you can get MLB 2K12 for PC and then download some updated rosters and jerseys to make it more current.

Yanks, Teixeira Spoil Jays Home Opener

Mark Teixeira went deep twice to boost the Yankees offence.

The Good: The fact that Dustin McGowan took the mound of one of the bright spots of the game. Despite taking the loss, the start itself was a victory for McGowan, who battled through several serious injuries since 2008. The start marked the completion of his comeback to the big leagues. Melky Cabrera continued his hot start to the season, hitting his third double in five games.

Mark Teixeira had a big game, going 4-4 with 5 RBIs.

The Bad: The Yankees, who were swept by the Astros (yes, the Houston Astros), tee'd off on the Blue Jays pitchers. Mark Teixeira went deep to go along with homers from Carlos Beltran and Ichiro.

Blue Jays pound out 21 hits, rout Yankees

Adam Lind picked up three RBIs in the win

The Good: Obviously, any day where you pick up 21 hits, you had a good day at the plate. This could be said for all of the Jays lineup, as everybody managed to pick up a hit. The offence exploded early, picking up 11 hits in the first two innings of the ball game, effectively chasing Yankees starter Alfredo Aceves from the game for an early shower. R.A. Dickey threw his second complete game in as many starts, giving up just three runs on six hits while striking out seven.

The Bad: In a game that you win 10-3, there aren't many bad things that happen. The only thing that the Jays can work on is on the bases, where they were thrown out twice on the afternoon.

The Stat: Well, this one is kinda obvious. 21 hits are the reason why the Jays came out on top today.
