Indianapolis Indians Baseball (Pit AAA) | PS4

I have been wanting to actually do this for quite a few iterations of the game and this year I think im going to actually try it. Redsrulenc's Louisville Bats dynasty was excellent and pretty much what i want to do as well.

Now ive never done a AAA franchise before so you'll have to bare with me.

Roster: OSFM OD 2.0
Sliders: TNK's Realism Sliders

Hitting Diff: Dynamic (Subject to change)
Hitting Interface: Timing

Pitching Diff: Dynamic (I like the pitching dynamic setting better than hitting so ill probably stick with this)
Pitching Interface: Meter

Lineups/Rotations: Manual
40-Man Roster: Auto
Roster Moves: Auto
Scouting: Auto
Waivers: Auto
Drafting: Auto
Inj. Management: Auto
Management: Auto
Trades: Auto
Free Agency: Auto
Contracts: Auto

Now because we all know that the Show can do some whacky things in Franchise mode, so if there is ever anything I see happening that (IMO) doesnt look right, I'll probably make some adjustments.

As you can see, I have the CPU in charge of everything except lineups and rotations. This scares me because again we all know the CPU does some weird stuff throughout years of a franchise, but we shall see.

I'm going to use the thread to update on series, players stats, promotions/demotions, etc. I for whatever reason find this more interesting than doing a Major League team because when you are successful with these players in AAA, you will see them get called up and see how they do on their own. I dont know about the rest of you, but I love the idea.

Some of you might have read my Wake Forest NCAA Baseball dynasty, and if you have you know it was really inconsistently updated. Im not going to make any promises with this either as it is summer and other obligations come before video games, but i really like this already and love my PS4 along with the Show since it is my only game so no NCAA football to take over this
summer

***If there is anyone that has done a AAA franchise before that has any helpful tips to make it more realistic, Id more than appreciate the help.

With that... Welcome!

Ahh and you start with one of my Louisville division rivals none-the-less! Haha

Thanks for the shout out and I'm glad it inspired you. I'm back at my minor league games again, this time taking things a step further going with single-A in my latest project .

You'll for sure have my follow and support in this minor league journey.

Columbus (1-0)0100000001270
W: S. Barnes (1-0) L: D. Welker (0-1)

Indianapolis dropped their Opening Day game 2-1 to the Columbus Clippers in extra innings.

The Indians were held at bay by starter Clipper starter Shawn Marcum who would go 6.1 innings surrendering just four hits while allowing one earned run and striking out four.

The visitors scored their only run of the game on an Andrew Lambo home run in the top of the seventh inning which then chased Marcum out of the game with the score tied 1-1.

It would go into the 10th inning still tied at 1-1. The Indians would threaten in the top half but could not cross the plate. However, the Clippers would start the bottom half with a leadoff double. Down to two outs, George Kottaras would line a ball into the right-center gap sealing the Indians fate.

Starter Brandon Cumpton went five strong innings allowing one earned run on four hits while striking out five and walking two.

The Indians were led by starter Jeff Locke who took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and would come away with a 3-0 victory.

In the fifth inning, Brent Morel and Jaff Decker hit back-to-back singles. Robert Andino would bunt them over to put both in scoring position. A wild pitch would score Morel while Chase d’Arnaud would hit a sac fly to center, scoring Decker and giving the Indians the 2-0 lead.

With Locke still spinning a gem, he got an insurance run from Morel who poked a ball just over the right field fence for a solo home run, making it 3-0 Indianapolis.

Bryan Morris would come in an shut the door in the final inning to secure the win for his first save of the season.

Locke went eight innings fanning five while only allowing one hit. Pacing the offense was Morel who was 3 for 4, scoring twice along with his dinger. Decker also went 3 for 4 while Gregory Polanco went 2 for 4.

I will follow this, I like the premise you brought up about how the players can get called up and you can kind of celebrate that you got the job done for them.

Is it possible to be relegated to AA through CPU control or are you planning on any intervention at some point if the CPU never causes an issue? The flip of your idea would be equally interesting too. Roster spots in the minors are never a solid lock and you got a world of options since you're not running a MLB team where the 40 man roster is pretty much set for the year.

I will definitely take over if i feel something is not right. Although even through the first couple of days, the CPU is already making moves. Ill let it ride a little and see how far it takes things, but im up to let it be the "leader" for a little.
