Carl Kershaw | A Road to the Show

Carl Kershaw is the unknown brother of Clayton Kershaw. He is a LHP, like Clayton, from Dallas, Texas. Carl is very similar to Clayton in many ways, pitching motion, similar pitches, and similar stuff, but Carl is not up to Clayton's level, yet. Carl comes off a great senior season looking to have 3 great showcase games and get drafted in the top 3 rounds. Many people have doubted him that he doesn't have the stuff his brother has or he can't ever perform like his brother, but Carl wants to prove all of them wrong. This will be a long journey to the major leagues and I hope you guys are ready for the ride.

Game 1:
W, 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 K

Carl Kershaw pitched a gem in game 1, only giving up 1 hit and striking out two batters. He ran through the lineup only letting two guys on base. He used all of his pitches well, and he showed early signs of his brother, Clayton. He got in a little trouble in the 2nd, but got out of it with a double play.

Game 2:
L, 3 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 0 K

Game 2 was the complete opposite of the first one for Carl Kershaw. After a leadoff double for the East team, they got single to take the lead. Kershaw got a needed 1-2-3 inning in the second, but in the third he gave up two more runs. The runs came on a double and then a home run.

Game 3:
ND, 3 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 2 K

Carl Kershaw had a very decent performance versus the international team. He gave up 5 hits, but they were only singles. He didn't really get into any jams and he threw some really nice pitches. He is looking pretty nice going into the draft, he just needs to give up less hits.
