Re: Beat The Drum | Cleveland Indians

The Twins really handed you one. So much you listed them again in your preview instead of the Padres..

Seems weird to see a inter-league matchup in April. The Mariners don't play their first one until June..

Hope you can get things turned around against the Pad's.

Haha, thanks. It was such a frustrating series against the Twins, made me want to quit trying to do a franchise in MLB 14. Definitely going to keep going though, this is a fun team with two different directions to go in. Looking forward to playing the Padres. Besides, I have always hit Josh Johnson well!

Lineup adjustments coming in Cleveland
Cleveland, Ohio
April 6, 2014
By Associated Press

Following the poor offensive performance and lack of bullpen depth through the first six games, the Cleveland Indians have announced some moves within the organization.

Josh Tomlin has been called up to Cleveland to take Shaun Marcum's spot in the rotation. Marcum will move to the bullpen as a long reliever, after being used in that role on Sunday. Jason Giambi has been sent down to triple-a Columbus.

With Giambi sent down, it has opened up a starting spot in the Indians lineup. Nick Swisher will move down in the lineup and into the designated hitter role. Carlos Santana moves over to first base and moves up to the number four spot, in an effort to spark proaction from the middle of the lineup. Lonnie Chisenhall will hit in the bottom third of the lineup and play third base.

"Terry [Francona] and I talked and we felt that a change needed to be made," general manager Aaron Ferguson said. "It's not something we wanted to do this early in the season, but we need offensive help and another arm in the 'pen."

Swisher is the only player in the starting lineup that is hitless to begin the season. The plan to move him down in the lineup is to take some pressure off of him from the cleanup spot.

Hey I'm new to this site and am looking forward to following your franchise. Great start by the way. I'm also looking forward to doing one of my own, and I like your setup with the box scores. This is embarrassing lol but how do you get the box scores like that and put them in your post?

I use the website's html coding for all of my box scores and updates. I appreciate you following along, I actually have plans to change my current setup. I like to give a little more detail.
