Blue Jays Get Back in Win Column in Style
TORONTO, ON -- The Toronto Blue Jays ended their short two game skid with a 7-6 walkoff victory over the Atlanta Braves.
Down by one going into the final frame after young closer Miguel Castro gave up a one run lead, the Blue Jays went swinging. A double by pinch hitter Danny Valencia, a stolen base after a single by Jose Reyes and an intentional walk to catcher Russell Martin loaded the bases for Jose Bautista, who tied the game up with a single to right field.
Slugger Edwin Encarnacion then stepped up to the plate with the bases loaded and promptly drove the ball into the right field gap to score the winning run from third and give the Blue Jays the win.
R.A. Dickey takes the hill for the Blue Jays on Saturday afternoon and is opposed by Braves ace Julio Teheran, first pitch at 1:05 PM ET.

Jays Hit Three Dingers, Take Series Against Braves
Toronto, ON -- The Toronto Blue Jays proved to the public why they are known as a home run hitting team, slugging three home runs in their win against the Atlanta Braves in the series rubbermatch on Sunday afternoon.
Jose Bautista, Ryan Goins and Devon Travis all homered for the Blue Jays, who got a fantastic start from starter Drew Hutchison (3-0). Travis' homer was the first of his young major league career, and hopefully the first of many as the young second baseman was greeted in the dugout by a group of silent team members.
Alex Wood (1-1), lasted just five innings, surrendering five runs on seven hits to a Blue Jays squad who came out of the gates swinging. The Braves scored their only run of the ballgame in the top of the fourth innings when Chris Johnson hit an RBI double.
The Blue Jays get a day off before they open up the Rogers Centre to welcome in American League East rival Baltimore Orioles for a three game set, with Mark Buehrle facing Miguel Gonzalez in the first game of the series.

Blue Jays Use Longball To Top O's
Toronto, ON -- Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion both homered twice as the Toronto Blue Jays took down the Baltimore Orioles in the first game of a three game series.
Bautista and Encarnacion combined to drive in 5 of the Blue Jays' six runs as the Blue Jays got to Orioles starter Miguel Gonzalez (1-1), who lasted just five innings while surrendering five runs on seven hits while managing only to strikeout one.
Mark Buehrle (1-1) picked up his 200th career win, going seven inning while allowing just four runs (three earned) on nine hits. "It feels great to finally get to that point in my career where I can look back at all the great things that I've done in this game and tell myself that there's more to come," said Buehrle in a post-game interview with Sportsnet's Barry Davis.
The two American League East rivals will continue to duke it out in the second game of the three game series tomorrow evening at the Rogers Centre, with first pitch scheduled at 7:07 PM ET.
