Richmond- Given the day off on Thursday(A 6-4 Flying Squirrels victory) Casey had an absolutely dreadful day at the plate on Friday, going 0 for 5 with a run scored in a 6-0 Richmond victory, his glove work however was once again superb, its been so good in fact that manager Jose Alguacil has named Casey the new starter at second base! Said Alguacil: " We knew he had the bat, that much was clearly obvious, we just weren't sure his glove was polished enough to play every day, and frankly we weren't sure if he could hold up to the day in day out pounding. He's proven he can, or at least that he deserves the chance to give it a go, the rest is up to him."
