Born in the cold, snowy country of Canada on December 21st, 1996, Danny Taylor was just a regular eighteen year old kid trying to make his dream a reality. Working hard during the hot summers outdoors and grinding in the indoor batting cages during the winter, Taylor has prepped well for his upcoming MLB Draft, participating in several showcases including Tournament 12, hosted by the Toronto Blue Jays. Day one of the draft came and went and Taylor had yet to hear his name called by an MLB team. On day two of the draft, Taylor was taken with the fourth pick of the third round by the Minnesota Twins. Known for his athleticism and good hitting skills, the Twins took the 6'2", 220 pound third baseman. Following the end of minor league spring training, Taylor was immediately assigned to AA Chattanooga to play for the Lookouts. The grind for Danny Taylor has officially begun.

April 9th 2015

Got off to a great start to my pro career, picking up a double and a triple into the gap for my first career hit. Can't wait to get back at it tomorrow!!!

April 10-11th 2015

Came back to earth after my outstanding professional debut. Managed to pick up an RBI on my lone hit of the game, a single in the fifth inning. Surprisingly I had a good day in the field though, assisting on two putouts.


Looks like I've came back to earth and maybe a little lower, as I wind up going 0-3 in the third game of the series as our Lookouts take our first loss of the season. Didn't have any good at-bats and ended up popping out twice and almost hitting into a double play.

April 13th & 15th 2015

Looks like I've found my power stroke, as I hit my first professional home run in our 10-8 loss to the Biscuits. Showed off some of my baseball IQ to the coach, going from first to third on a swinging bunt in the top of the ninth inning after leading off the inning with a single up the middle against former Atlanta Braves reliever Jonny Venters.

After getting the day off in the series finale against the Montgomery Biscuits, I showed the coach why he shouldn't sit me, lining a double into the gap in my first at-bat. I've got to stop hitting the ball right at people, as the lineouts in my final two at-bats made the right fielder move less than an inch.

April 20th-21st 2015

The opening game of this four game series against the Mississippi Braves didn't represent a good start for me, as I finished just 1-for-4 with no RBIs and a stolen base, well below my personal expectations. That's alright though, because these bad games just make me wanna smack the crap out of the ball the next game, so you should all watch out cause that little white ball will be flying all over the yard next game.

Just as I had promised. I had a nice rebound game after the rough series opener, going 4-for-6 including the game winning homer and coming around to score three additional times! Looks like this will be an interesting series though, as the second game has already gone into extra innings in a tight battle.
