CREW KEEPS IT ROLLIN AGAINST BUCCOS

The Brewers gave up a two run lead in the top of the 9th inning before allowing the go ahead run to the Pirates in the very next frame. Rymer Liriano changed the narrative of the night however, which was plagued by a bug that forced Milwaukee to burn through 2 RPs without throwing a single pitch, when he blasted a definitive moonshot-- a two run home run to center field. THE CREW HAS LIFE

Things ultimately had gotten so out of hand in the Brewers bullpen after Taylor Jungmann posted a short outing, that Wily Peralta, Game #2 scheduled pitcher for the Brewers came in to finish up 1.2 innings of work before the Crew walked off. The club confirmed he will make his start as planned and there will be no roster moves for a spot starter, and his brief appearance should not have any implications on his start on Saturday

Game #5 of 162 simply blew right by the Brewers, as Juan Nicasio stepped to the mound for the Pirates after breaking onto the 25 man roster this spring and delivered a masterful performance.

Wily Peralta was also terrific but the Pirates never showed any signs of a struggle even with a narrow lead all night long.

It's Friday night but we have a Sunday afternoon contest and a series up for grabs!

The final game of the first home stand here at Miller Park will feature Gerrit Cole toeing the mound for the visiting Buccos. The Crew will match the up and coming superstar in Cole with their own #1 rotation slot man, Jimmy Nelson. Both guys will be competing today, should be a great rivalry match.

The Crew takes a late night flight to St. Louis for an afternoon game tomorrow, this is a critical game toward setting the tone for the first road trip into hostile territory.

Nelson Haults Pirates Series Victory

The Brewers took their first series of the 2016 season against the rival Buccos as Jimmy Nelson went 8 shutout innings with 6 hits and 6 strikeouts!

Will Smith came in for his first save of the season as the Brewers completed a methodical victory over Pittsburgh on Sunday.

Milwaukee just boarded a flight headed toward St. Louis, it's their first road trip and a big test in the Cardinals ahead...

It's a Monday afternoon contest here at Busch Stadium, also the Cardinals home opener as they've spent their first two series on the road. In Chicago they swept the Cubs, and in Cincinnati they took 2 of 3.

The Cardinals sit atop the NL Central division and will trot Michael Wacha out to the hill

The Brewers saw a 3-0 lead evaporate and turn into a tense ball game late, but Lucroy and company were able to fend off the birds and spoil the home opener at Busch
