Re: Willard76's Blue Jays Franchise

The Blue Jays made a couple of moves prior to the series with Boston. After the overuse of the pen a couple of days in a row against the Yankees, the Jays sent down lefty/righty Pat Venditte and recalled former Jay Dustin McGowan who had a 0.00 ERA and 0.50 WHIP to start the season in Buffalo. Also joining McGowan is former Philly outfielder Domonic Brown who was off to the slow start in Buffalo, but a player manager John Gibbons said impressed in Spring Training and a guy who has a big power bat from the left side and can technically play all 3 outfield positions. Brown takes Brett Cecil's spot on the roster after the lefty was placed on the DL with a forearm strain.

I have had a thought. You will shortly see the debut of my Trade Rumours post.
I am turning trades off with not having the ability to veto bad trades, and use you the readers ideas out of the trade rumours thread to help make deals through the season.

That's a great idea. If the trade works in your franchise (similar stats/standings) then it will be a great addition. Looking forward to the read!

Re: Willard76's Blue Jays Franchise

Blackmon, Myers, Barnes

The Blue Jays with the injuries to Kevin Pillar and Dalton Pompey and the less than stellar play of their replacements have been linked to names like Charlie Blackmon, Brandon Barnes, Angel Pagan, Drew Stubbs and Wil Myers to fill the centerfield spot for the team. Each player adds an interesting and different skill set and could be had for the right price - the question is, will the Blue Jays pay the price? What makes things more interesting is the fact that the team could possibly loss one or both of Jose Bautista and Michael Saunders to free agency at the end of the year so getting an established outfielder with team control could also make one of these deals even more possible for a big name.
