Game 1:

CC Sabathia was effective in the series opener, scattering eight hits over seven innings of work. On the other hand, Carlos Rodon continued his struggles, surrendering four runs and ten baserunners in six innings. His ERA improved to 8.79 on the season.

Game 2:

Chicago's four game losing streak ended at four today, thanks to some offense for the first time in a while. Tim Anderson drove in three runs on three hits, while Avi Garcia doubled for the second game in a row. Derek Holland picked up his first win with the Sox, earning the quality start.

Game 3:

Is this the end of the power outage? Avisail Garcia hit two home runs, and Todd Frazier added his first of the year to lead Chicago to a series win in the Bronx. Garcia has been red hot lately, raising his season average to .320. Jose Quintana continues to dazzle, throwing a complete game and earning his third win in 2017.
