Great start so far, Boston is always really good in this game so every game is definitely going to matter in the division race. Hope Paxton's okay!

Game 41 vs Orioles, Loss 6-2
C.C. Sabathia made his second start of the season after earning the right following his last start. Unfortunately things didn’t go as well as last time. Sabathia gave up 5 runs in 5 innings, majority coming from a 3 run big blast form Mark Trumbo. Up 5-0, O’s starter Gabriel Ynoa got into trouble in the 5th, with the bases loaded he walked two, before striking out the side. Dellin Betances gave up a run in relief and the Yankees bats were stifled for just 4 hits.
WP: Gabriel Ynoa (4-2) LP: C.C. Sabathia (3-1)

Game 42 vs Orioles, Win 11-5
The Yankees ended their 5 game losing streak with a nice 11-5 win. James Paxton made his first start in over 10 days and was able to fight through 5 innings and get the win. The Yankees bench stepped up in the win, as they all started today. Austin Romine smashed a home run and 4 RBI’s along with Luke Voits 2 home runs and 4 RBI’s. Adam Ottavino and Dellin Bentances did not allow a run in the final four innings.
WP: James Paxton (3-5) LP: Dylan Bundy (3-4)

Game 43 vs Orioles, Win 3-2
The final game of the series saw a pitching battle between Aaron Brooks of the Orioles and Masahiro Tanaka for the Yanks. Brooks went 6 innings and gave up just 3 hits, 2 to Gio Urshela, both doubles, and a single to Aaron Judge in the 6th giving the Yankees a 2-1 lead. Jose Rondon would tie it with a sac fly in the 8th, completing Tanaka’s line, with 8 innings, 2 ER, and 6 K’s. In the bottom half of the 8th, Brett Gardner tripled and was plated by DJ Lemahieu. Aroldis Chapman would come on for the save in the 3-2 win, although he did walk two batters.
WP: Masahiro Tanaka (4-3) LP: Shawn Armstrong (1-2) SV: Aroldis Chapman (8)

Game 44 vs Rays, Win 9-1
Aaron Hicks hit yet another lead off homer, the fifth time he has done so this season. Giancarlo Stanton and Edwin Encarnacion would add solo shots of their own in the 4th to chase starter Ryan Yarbrough. The Rays bullpen didn’t fare much better as they would allow 2 more runs in the inning and 7 more total. All the while Domingo German was dominating not allowing his 2nd hit until the 9th inning. He would finish with 7 K’s and 1 ER earning the complete game.
WP: Domingo German (5-0) LP: Ryan Yarbrough (2-2)

Game 45 vs Rays, Win 2-0
It took 7 innings, but Gary Sanchez finally broke the stalemate with a 2-run double off of Trevor Richards. And that would be everything the Yankees would need and get in the 2-0 win. JA Happ found his dominant form, as he earned a complete game shutout, the second straight complete game for Yankees pitchers. For Happ his ERA fell from the 5’s to 3.59. He allowed just 4 hits, walking none, and striking out 9.
WP: JA Happ (3-1) LP: Trevor Richards (4-2)

Game 46 vs Rays,
Giancarlo Stanton took Blake Snell deep for a 3-run blast in the first inning to give the Yankees an immediate 3-0 lead. Luis Severino would give it right back as DH Avisail Garcia put one into the bleachers, with his own 3-run homer. The Rays would take a 4-3 lead into the 7th, when DJ Lemahieu plated Gio Urshela to tie it up again. In extra innings Didi Gregorious was the hero as he would hit a walk off single and give the Yankees the sweep of the Rays.
WP: Chad Green (3-2) LP: Colin Poche (0-3)

Re: NEW YORK YANKEES FRANCHISE MLB 19 THE SHOW

YANKS SETTLE FOR SPLIT WITH O'S, TAKE SERIES VS ROYALS
ROTATION CONTINUES STEADY IMPROVEMENT, LINE UP STAYS HOT

Screen-Shot-2019-09-04-at-1-28-36-PM

Game 47 @ Orioles, Win 8-2
Gary Sanchez and Didi Gregorious hit back to back solo shots off of Orioles starter Aaron Brooks in the 2nd inning. Giancarlo Stanton stayed hot with a 2-run homer in the 5th and a solo shot in the 8th. James Paxton continues his improvement grabbing the win, his 4th with 7 innings of 2 run ball.
WP: James Paxton (4-5) LP: Aaron Brooks (3-4)

Game 48 @ Orioles, Loss 9-3
The Yankees scored 3 in the 5th thanks to a home run from Aaron Hicks and run producing hits from Giancarlo Stanton and Luke Voit. With a 3-1 lead Masahiro Tanaka collapsed in the 5th inning giving up a back to back home runs, a 3-run job to Dwight Smith Jr. and a solo shot to Trey Mancini. With a 6-3 lead already, Renato Nunez hit a bases loaded double off of Jonathan Holder to put the game on ice 9-3, breaking the Yankees 6 game win streak.
WP: Thomas Eshelman (3-7) LP: Masahiro Tanaka (4-4)

Game 49 @ Orioles, Win 8-1
Orioles starting pitcher John Means got into bases loaded trouble in the 3rd inning giving up 3 runs. Giancarlo Stanton and Gary Sanchez both continue to pace the offense with their solid at bats. Stanton added another home run, his 3rd of the series in the 6th inning. This was all in defense of Domingo German who was tremendous on the bump. German went 8 innings allowing just 1 run and struck out a season high 13 batters.
WP: Domingo German (6-0) LP: John Means (1-7)

Game 50 @ Orioles, Loss 8-3
Chris Davis gave the Orioles a quick 2-0 lead taking JA Happ deep int he 1st inning. That was just the beginning of Haps troubles as he would go on to give up 7 runs in just 4.2 innings. Gary Sanchez continued his hot hitting driving in 3-runs, including a 2-run home run in the 6th, but it wouldn’t be enough in an 8-3 loss. CC Sabathia finished the final 4.1 innings giving up just 1 run.
WP: Gabriel Ynoa (5-2) LP: JA Happ (3-2)

Game 51 @ Royals, Win 2-1
Gleyber Torres knocked in a run in the 4th with an RBI single but Ryan O’Hearn grabbed the run right back with a solo homer off of Luis Severino in the home half. The game would stay knotted at 1 until the 10th innings when Brett Gardner who replaced an injured Aaron Hicks (tight back) hit a solo homerun. Luis Severino who pitched 9 innings of 1 run ball got the win.
WP: Luis Severino (4-3) LP: Jesse Hahn (1-3) SV: Aroldis Chapman (9)

Game 52 @ Royals, Loss 3-2
The Yankees starting pitching seems to be turning itself around as James Paxton put together another quality start, just missing out on a complete game in a 5-4 win. Paxton had given up 1 run up until the 9th, but Jorge Soler hit his 2nd homer of the day, a 3-run job chasing Paxton. Aroldis Chapman came in for a 1 out save, but his struggles continue, as he walked a batter and allowed Bubba Starling to tie it up with a double. Jonathan Holder would eventually give up a walkout single Soler who had himself a night.
WP: Tim Hill (1-1) LP: Jonathan Holder (1-2)

Game 53 @ Royals, Win 4-0
After taking 2 games off with a stiff back, Aaron Hicks hit a home run in the first innings off of Jake Junis. Hicks would plate the Yankees 2nd run in the 5th with an RBI single, also off of Junis, big difference this time is DJ Lemahieu got in on the act and hit a 2-run home run pushing the Yankee lead to 4-0. Masahiro Tanaka was spectacular throwing 8 innings in the win striking out 9.
WP: Masahiro Tanaka (5-4) LP: Jake Junis (2-4)
