you all will find that I strike out a lot on AS. Reason being is because of my extreme lack of discipline with two-strike counts. Which also leads me to not getting as many walks as I should probably be getting.

Anyway, game two of the young season should have been a much wider run gap than it was. However, as mentioned above my strikeouts were the cause of most of my not getting more runs in this one. I had a couple of bases-loaded situations in this one and due to lack of discipline in those situations, it cost me several runs in this one I'm sure of it.

Ok well, that is all for me for tonight folks. I have to be up early in the morning and go to Cardio Rehab. I had open-heart surgery back in May of this year and have to do this three times a week.

I will be doing two more games of this franchise. Then switching back to the primary franchise that I have going with my A's. I am charting that one (if you wish to follow) over in the show section of the baseball area of this site. in the franchise progress thread. (not fantasy drafted).

here is my plan, play one complete series and do whatever non-game stuff I have to do here for it (week ending standings etc) then go over and do the same for the other team. This way I can keep them both going and be fair ta each fan base if you will.

I just want to take a moment and thank each and every one of you that has taken a moment out of your day to come check this out. your continued support means a great deal to me.

I can see me going deep into this franchise and many seasons. I really like this team so far.

I am totally going to follow this. I love fantasy draft team because I feel like it splits the talent around and makes each and every series a challenge. I know what you are saying about discipline with 2 strikes. My problem is that I really like to hit the first pitch so sometimes I will be in the 5th inning and the starter has thrown like 40 pitches. I need to get better at working a count.

I am also going to check out your other franchise. Keep up the great work.

how I have improved (if you can call it that) is by using QC. Also at least for me on default AS level I have figured out that the computer MOST of the time when it starts you out in any count will throw mostly balls out of the zone. so ii pretty much take the first couple of pitches (if my brain will allow me too)

good luck to you on your strikeout improvement.. it isn't easy but I guess if you really try hard enough it can be done.

P.s. and your right about fantasy drafts... there are no longer any really weak teams anywhere ever

I am so great at giving my own advice to people. however, I'm terrible at taking my own advice. I should have known better than to try to play a game on very little sleep. When I say little sleep we are talking about just three hours of sleep.

Between striking out looking, not taking pitches that would have lead to or up to walks, pitchers giving up leads not once, not twice but THREE freaking times, I surely had my mind made up that we were going to losing this game.

After I gave them the lead back for the third time I had to sit there and laugh. I really did. it was like my pitchers weren't happy with having a lead and wanted to test our offenses resolve. on seeing just how many times they had the power, or desire to come back.

Thank god for Mookie Betts!!!

I am NOT looking forward to any more matchups with this team this season.

all I know is that if I was to have lost this game and started out the season one and three, well I would have said it was going to be a very long season with this team.

however, having taken a split in the series I think we have a shot at a playoff spot early on.
