NBA Rewritten

A simple project, where an alternate history of the NBA is created, using the MyNBA Eras mode on NBA 2k25, starting in the “Kobe Era”. I’ll be managing the entire NBA, putting my own spin on things, as well as occasionally using randomizers and other tools to inject some unpredictability into the league. I’m going to break down the history in large chunks, basically splitting up each season in pre-All-Star, post-All-Star and postseason entries, with the idea being to tell a pretty broad narrative of the seasons, rather than breaking down everything in extensive detail. For the most part, this is just about me having fun doing something I like to do on 2k, which is creating these alternate histories. But I figure by writing out the stories and posting it, I can slow myself down a little and give the information more time to really soak in. Plus, I can go back and revisit things, instead of forgetting about what happened in my game in just a couple weeks’ time. Hope it’s something that others can enjoy as well. With that said, this first post will serve as the archive, which I will fill out as I progress through this alternate NBA history.
