Final Four

vs.
87 - 75
Player of the game:
Chris Douglas-Roberts - 25 pts, 6 reb, 3 ast

Both teams came out strong and shooting well. Louisville took the early lead, and went into halftime ahead 43-40. Despite having players on the bench due to foul trouble, Memphis came out and jumped back into a comfortable lead in the 2nd half. They outscored the Cardinals 47-32 in the frame to go move on the the Championship game.

vs.
82 - 94
Player of the game:
Chris Lofton - 27 pts, 6 reb, 2 ast, 2 stl

This game played very similarly to the Memphis-Louisville one. Both teams came out hot, with the Tar Heels being on top 47-45 at the half. Hansbrough got into foul trouble and only played 13 minutes, but scored 15 points in the small amount of time. Once Danny Green also got into foul trouble North Carolina didn't stand a chance. This sets up an interesting championship game between rivals Memphis and Tennessee. Memphis beat Tennesee 84-73 earlier this season. *as a side note, Tyler Hansbrough was seen crying like a baby after the game*

Re: Coaching Career of Chris Matthews (CH2k8)

Top 50 Recruits - 2008 Class

2008 North Florida Recruiting Class

Emerson Riley - C - *** - 7'2"/248 lbs - HS SR - Orlando Florida
Brings a B.I.G. presence down low for the Ospreys. His size is his big tool, also has really good speed and handles for a big man. Not a great scorer yet, but he's going to get plenty of easy shots as he's the biggest guy in the A-Sun.

Junior Rivera - PG - *** - 6'4"/202 - HS SR - Brazil
Great size for a PG, which is where he will play with Hammonds and Wood both being SG. Not a great shooter, but can hit the open 3. Very similar to Chris Timberlake, except he's 5 inches taller. Good speed, can push the ball up the court. Will start from day 1.

Ka'Ron Ellerbee - C - *** - 6'8"/226 - JC SO - Dallas, TX
Ian Gibson parted ways, giving UNF an extra scholarship at the end of the year, and boy did it pay off. Ellerbee can score down low, and can rebound pretty well. He brings experience, and will probably back up Riley to start the year. Ka'Ron will also get a lot of playing time.

Predrag Oliver - PG - ** - 6'0/177 - HS SR - Phoenix, AZ
Oliver was more of a desperation signing it appears. Coach Matthews hoped he could step in and play right away, but it looks like Cortez Riley will have back-up duties instead. Oliver will probably get a redshirt, assuming he makes the team.

Evaluation:
North Florida has a very good recruiting class coming in. Riley, Rivera, and Ellerbee will all have a lot of minutes right away. Both Riley and Rivera will be starting, taking the roles that Chris Timberlake and James Grimball left behind. It looks like Coach Matthews will have another good shot at a run at the A-Sun next season.

Re: Coaching Career of Chris Matthews (CH2k8)

...shameless bump...

I'd like to get these recruits in before I sim the ABL so that they have a chance of committing in the early signing period. Sooo... hurry so I can continue as I'd like to start the games already.
