Vernard Sayman was a menace leading the break as he was able to find shooters trailing the play or his bigs running the lane for easy finishes all game long.



D.C. Midgley on the receiving end of one of the many beautiful dishes by Sayman which led to an uncontested two-handed slam for the freshman big man.

Thanks TG! Been a ton of fun getting back into this. Loving how the team is built right now. I wasn’t a fan of the team last year but adding shooters like Foust and Madison and also Henson and Cummings finding more consistency has been huge.

Commodores Dunk On, Throttle Ponies





The SMU Mustangs seemingly were left standing around all second half while watching Vanderbilt torch the nets like it was a pre-game shootaround.



Tarick Cummings gave the Mustangs an emotional boost just seconds before halftime to cap off a mini 5-0 run. This would be the last moment of excitement for SMU as the second half was nothing to get excited about.

Was it easy to get back into the game after a few years away?

Never fun to lose by 30, but it was to an SEC team who is looking pretty good early in the season. You guys just couldn't hit your shots in this one. On the plus side, Foust has been a bright spot the past two games and turnovers weren't horrible.
