The Price is wrong for Red Storm; #14 UConn just too much for St. John's. Price
goes for 29 against the youthful backcourt of Booth and Roberts. Zero low-post
game established by SJU. Season looking bleak in Big East play.

Looks like the big east is no joke. Price 6-7 from deep, wow. Uconn 10-14 from deep as a team.

Three-point shooting was a crucial key to the game, as well as the lack of inside scoring for my team. Also, turnovers weren't helping at all either. I got Thabeet in foul trouble about 6 minutes into the game, but they came back in with Mandeldove who was much bigger than my guys too, so it was pretty hopeless down there.

DePaul, Rutgers, Seton Hall... Those are my targets that I MUST win to keep respectability.

St. John's gets first win by clinging on for life against DePaul. Almost blew a 9-point
lead with under two minutes to go. Quincy Roberts knocked down one free throw to
make it a 3-point game with six seconds remaining. DePaul got off a good looking
three, but it clanked off the back of the iron and the Red Storm survived.
DJ Kennedy continues to be the go-to-guy, scoring 30 points.

Had to get that one over Depaul. Way to hold on, and Kennedy was huge.

No kidding. If it wasn't for Kennedy, I'm not sure where my offense would have come from. Anthony Mason, Jr. has been in foul trouble the past 4 or 5 games. Justin Burrell beat up on the out of conference teams, but in the Big East, he's just way too over-matched. I desperately need to sign Domercant to put some size out there, especially for Big East play.

Too much firepower from Huggins' squad for SJU to hang with, fall to 1-4 in the Big
East. WVU's press forced plenty of turnovers. Kennedy held scoreless in first half.
Red Storm looked to establish Burrell in paint, but foul trouble (eventually fouled out) killed that gameplan.
