A few days after easily dispatching Marquette, the Scarlet Knights found themselves fighting for their lives in Chicago against the Big East's worst team, DePaul. A hard fought battle the entire game, both teams shot about equal percentages, and the game really came down to two factors for Rutgers: free throws and turnovers. the Scarlet Knights turned the ball over 32 times, far and away the highest mark on the season, and shot just one free throw the entire game (a miss). Even with this great disparity, Rutgers had the ball with a chance to tie the game with 15 seconds left after Will Walker missed the front end of a one-and-one, but were unable to get off a shot. The Scarlet Knights head to Milwaukee tomorrow for a rematch against Marquette.

Despite Matthews' 29, Rutgers Completes Sweep of Marquette
Wesley Matthews' 29 points on Friday night was not enough as the Scarlet Knights held on to win at Marquette. The game started out sloppy and slow-paced and Rutgers held a 5 point lead at the half. The second half saw a faster pace with nearly flawless play from both teams. Mike Rosario, who had 27 points, dueled Matthews down the stretch as the lead went back and forth. But Hamady N'Diaye's dominance inside, with 18 points and 11 rebounds, got Rutgers a small lead as the game wound down and Rosario iced the game with a pair of free throws. The Scarlet Knights have the weekend off before heading south to face South Florida on Monday.

Rutgers Collapses in Second Half, Falls to South Florida
South Florida, done as much as 21 in the first half, and down by 12 at halftime, fought back and overtook the Scarlet Knights in the second half to pull out a win at home. B.J. Daniels lead the South Florida offense with 21 points, and a key three pointer in the final seconds to give the Bulls a four point lead. Mike Rosario equaled Daniels with 21 points, but was unable to lead Rutgers back. The Scarlet Knights travel to New York tomorrow to take on Syracuse.

In Wild Up-and-down Game, Rutgers Goes Into Carrier Dome and Knocks off #24 Syracuse
The Scarlet Knights continue to exceed expectations, this time by knocking off nationally ranked Syracuse on their home floor. In a fast-paced, run-and-gun type of game from the opening tip, Rutgers paced themselves to a 12 point lead at halftime, which they were able to hold for most of the rest of the game. Eric Devedorf did his best to keep the 'Cuse in the game with 32 points, but Mike Rosario matched him with 34 of his own. Eventually it was the dominance inside of Hamady D'Niaye and Gregory Echenique that lead Rutgers to the win. The Scarlet Knights, now 4-3 in the Big East will continue their road trip by traveling to Pittsburgh on Thursday to face the #13 Panthers.

Mike Rosario is a scoring machine. He leads the Big East in scoring in my dynasty at about 18 points per game.

Scarlet Knights Shock the World, Put Epic Beatdown on #13 Panthers in Pittsburgh
Rutgers played likely its best game of the season today as the Scarlet Knights thrashed the nationally ranked Panthers by 37 on their home floor. Rutgers continues to rampage through the Big East, beating good teams and losing to bad ones. The Scarlet Knights played nearly flawless basketball in this one, executing perfectly on offense, and dogged Pittsburgh the whole way, forcing 24 turnovers. The much-maligned Pitt team, picked to finish at the top of the Big East, continues to fall, now at 2-6 in the conference. Rutgers has three days of rest before heading south for the last stop on the road trip, West Virginia.

It is inexplicable to me how I can use the same sliders the entire time and beat Pitt by 37 but lose to DePaul, South Florida, Providence and Delaware and beat Binghamton by 2. I'm thinking I'll tweak the user shooting percentages down a little but more and see how that goes.

Yeah, that's about what he is averaging for my Rutgers team right now. Thanks for reading!
