Trojans Learn Post-Season Fate

Little Rock, AR- The Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans learned their post-season fate on Sunday, and they were rather pleased with the news.

"Now we'll move on the Mid-West region where Arizona State is the top seed. They'll host the Western Carolina Catamounts in the first round. The 8/9 matchup will pit American vs Connecticut. The 5 seed region is an at-large from the Sun Belt, the Arkansas-Little Rock trojans. They will open up against the Kansas State Wildcats on Thursday," said Greg Gumbel of CBS.

It's the first trip to the big dance for UALR since 1990. Coach Powell and his players are excited to play for the title.

"Its a great feeling to know we're one of the teams with a shot at the national title.," raves Coach Powell.

"To be given a 5 seed is a great honor and its a testament to how hard we worked in the offseason," said Shane Edwards.

The 4 number 1 seeds in the tournament are Arizona State, Texas, Southern Cal, and North Carolina. Sun Belt school Middle Tennessee State was given the 8th seed in the West Region and will face St. Joseph's in the first round.
