Army Shoots Down Blackbirds, 71-66
Christl Arena West Point, NY Att: 908 First half Brown hits a 3pter and after Mattison banks in a short jumper, Nelson banks in a layup and converts a 3-point play. Brown knocks down another 3pter then after Manigault nails a hook, Brown sinks a jumper to give Army a nine point lead, 13-4, with 14:58 remaining. Hedgecock and Brown bank in layups then after SG#3 buries a 3pter and a jumper, Mattison drops in a layup. Hicks banks in a layup then Hedgecock makes two free throws to give the Black Knights a six point lead, 19-13, halfway through the opening period. SG#3 and Brown trade 3pters and after Kotorbai sinks a short turnaround jumper, Miller makes 1 of 2 free throws and Walker puts in a layup. Hicks hits a 3pter then after Miller converts a 3-point play and Nelson drops in a layup on a fast break, Manigault cans two free throws. SG#3 and Bates trade jumpers and after Mattison knocks down a 3pter, Hence puts in a layup on a fast break to give Army a six point lead, 34-28, with 4:40 to go. Allen jams in a dunk and after Bates banks in a short turnaround jumper, allen and Hence trade layups. Kotorbai makes 1 of 2 free throws then after Hence and Kotorbai trade 3pters and Kotorbai drops in a layup, Brown cans 1 of 2 free throws to put the Black Knights up by four at the half. Army's Brown leads all scorers with 14 points and SG#3 leads the Blackbirds with 10. Army 42, Long Island 38 Second Half Bates tips in a rebound then after Allen and Brown trade layups, Hence nails a jumper to give Army an eight point lead, 48-40, with 15:00 remaining. Wisseh converts a 3-point play and after Brown puts in a layup on a fast break, Udanoh sinks a short turnaround jumper. Williams tips in a rebound then SG# 3 nails a jumper and Mattison makes two free throws to pull Long Island to within three, 52-49, midway through the second half. Miller makes 1 of 2 free throws then after Forbes sinks a short turnaround jumper and Mattison puts in a layup, Brown hits a 3pter. Brown nails a couple of jumpers and after Hence converts a 3-point play, Allen buries a short turnaround jumper and Morkeliunas lays in a rebound to pull the Blackbirds to within six, 63-57, with 4:48 left. Bryant nails a 3pter and after Wisseh converts a 3-point play, Walker makes 1 of 2 free throws. Manigault and Allen sink jumpers then Long Island starts fouling with 37.2 seconds to go. Newman Arena Ithaca, NY First Half Dale converts a 3-point play and Wittman drills a 3pter and a short turnaround jumper then after Dale makes two free throws and Hartford converts a 3-point play, Brown hits a jumper to pull Army to within eleven, 13-2, with 15:00 remaining. Dale and Brown trade a pair of free throws and after Kreefer and Miller trade layups, McDonald buries a 3pter. McDonald puts in a layup on a fast break then Gore and Wilkins drill jumpers to give Cornell a ten point lead, 21-11, halfway through the first half. Miller sinks a 3pter then after Hartford nails a hook and tips in a rebound, Wittman and Zastoupil trade 3pters. I saw your post in the other guys thread about 2k forum. There is a sub forum under college hoops for college basketball legacies. Its not in the Franchise Central section. There is still about 10 guys currently posting...
