Pilots Sails Past Black Knights, 68-50
Christl Arena West Point, NY ATT: 908 First Half Watson drops in a layup then after Brown and Sikma trade jumpers, Watson makes two free throws and both Ito and Raivio bury 3pters as Portland jumps out to a 12-2 lead with 14:44 remaining. Knutson and Nelson trade layups and after Knutson lays in a rebound, Hanibal sinks a short turnaround jumper. Knutson banks in a layup then Walker makes 1 of 2 free throws to pull Army to within 16, 21-5, halfway through the opening period. Brewer flips in a layup and after Stohl sinks a jumper, Hence hits a 3pter. Bates makes 1 of 2 free throws then after Ito cans a layup and a short jumper, Nelson drains 1 of 2 free throws to pull the Black Knights to within 15, 27-12, with 5:07 to go. Knutson drills a hook and after Bryant converts a 3-point play, Watson makes two free throws and Ito nails a 3pter. Hence and McDonald bank in layups then after Knutson buries a hook, Nelson knocks down a 3pter to pull Army to within 14 at the half. Portland's Knutson leads all scorers with 11 points and Nelson leads the Black Knights with 6. Portland 36, Army 22 Second Half Williams lays in a rebound and Nelson makes 1 of 2 free throws and after Knutson drops in a hook, Brown sinks a jumper. Bates lays in a rebound then after Watson nails a 3pter and Raivio puts in a layup, Nelson cans 1 of 2 free throws to pull Army to within 13, 43-30, with 15:00 remaining. Ito lays in a rebound and after Hence tips in a rebound, Knutson banks in a layup and Raivio hits a 3pter. Nelson drains a runner and after Hanibal and Brown trade layups, Watson puts in a layup on a fast break. Brown and Hanibal trade jumpers and after Ito makes two free throws, Bryant and Sikma trade layups as Portland builds it's lead to 20, 60-40, midway through the second half. Hence and Watson trade layups and after Brewer sinks a jumper, Knutson lays in a rebound and Watson makes two free throws to put the Pilots up by 22, 66-44, with 5:00 to go. Niedermeyer makes two free throws then after Zastoupil and Nelson put in layups, Hence cans 1 of 2 free throws then 1 of 2 more as Portland coasts to the win. Code:

Yes, you have. My other one got trashed so I started a new one but at coach Bob Knight's first head coaching job. Maybe this time I won't end up at his alma matta, Michigan's arch rivals. |
