Chicago, IL - The Chicago Bulls host their season opener in the United States Center against the San Antonio Spurs. The Bulls organization is hoping to get off to a good start by defeating a tough opponent before facing Boston Celtics in a play-off rematch from last year.

I used to have an old pro basketball game and the Chicago Bulls had Bob Love and Norm Van Lier on the team. They probably were there before you were born.

I now wish that I still had that game because Nate Archibald, Pete Maravich, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Walt Frazier, Earl Monroe and Elvin Hayes were among the players. They are now all in the Hall of Fame.

Good luck in trying to bring a title back to the Windy City.

Miami, FL - The Miami Heat are trying to snap their losing streak at home to the Chicago Bulls. Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat lost their first 2 of the season, 1 at home and 1 away. "We haven't been playing well so far. We've been struggling to score and our defense has been less than stellar," said Mario Chalmers, the 2nd year guard for the Heat, "hopefully we can turn that around today".

The Chicago Bulls are coming off a defeat to the Boston Celtics and are looking to be more consistent during the course of the game. "We lost Friday's game simply due to not being able to stay consistent. Shooting slumps cannot happen and we can't give up a lead that quickly. We need some consistency in our shooting and we need to have more people who can score when needed," Salmons said earlier today.

Dwayne Wade has also been asked about the possibility of going to the Chicago Bulls in the 2010 free agency. "Sure, it's where I'm from, Chicago is where I grew up. But right now my only focus is here with Miami and to get wins for my team."

The tip-off is at 6 PM Eastern Time.
