Eastern Michigan @ #17 Providence Friars
December 5th, 2010

In a game closer than anyone could have expect, Eastern Michigan held a 60-58 lead with 2 minutes left before a Vincent Council 3 put the Friars back on top 61-60. Then, Greedy Peterson's 3 with 37 seconds left seemingly put the game out of reach, as the Friars went on to win, 64-62.

Marshon Brooks led the Friars with 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Greedy Peterson added 13 points and 9 boards.

Bowdry led Eastern Michigan with 17 points.

The Friars (7-2) will stay home where they will face the Charlotte 49ers (4-4) on 12/9.

Akron @ #12 Providence
December 15th, 2010

The Friars had little trouble putting away Akron at the Dunkin Donuts Center, winning 70-52.

Marshon Brooks had a triple-double, with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists for the Friars. Greedy Peterson also had 11 points for the Friars.

Arizona @ #10 Providence
December 24th, 2010

With the Friars up 14 early in the second half, most people thought this was going to be a runaway. However, with just under 3 minutes left, the Wildcats from Arizona found themselves only down 65-63 against the #10 team in the country. However, a big Anthony Yura 3 pointer with just under a minute left would give the Friars a 6 point lead and the lead for good as they went on to win this one, 71-67.

Marshon Brooks led the Friar with 27 points although he would foul out in the game, and Duke Mondy added 13 for Providence.

Horne led Arizona with 20 points and 13 rebounds.

The Friars finished their non-conference schedule 10-2 and will open Big East play on 1/3 vs. South Florida (6-5) at home.
