St. Joseph's @ #16 Providence
November 15th, 2010

The Friars showed why they are among the nations best, not playing well and still defeating St. Joe's 79-62.

Phillips led St. Joe's with 22 points.

The Friars (3-0) get a week off to prepare for the Maui Invitational, where they will first match up against #18 Georgia Tech (2-2).

#19 Providence vs. #16 Georgia Tech @ Maui Invitational
November 22, 2010

Although this game was tied at halftime, Providence did not have enough fire power in this one and their interior weaknesses were exposed as Georgia Tech won the opener at the Maui Invitational, 81-68.

Gani Lawal had 23 points and 10 rebounds, and Iman Shumpert added another 23 for the Yellow Jackets.

Marshon Brooks and Vincent Council each had 13 for Providence in the loss.

The Friars (3-1) next take on Siena (2-2) in the consolation bracket.

November 23rd, 2010

Although Siena started this game with an 11-0 lead, they did not have enough firepower to keep up with the high-powered Friar offense and fell in defeat, 78-56.

Marshon Brooks had 35 points for the Friars, and Greedy Peterson added 20 points and 15 rebounds of his own.

Santos had 26 points for Siena.

Providence (4-1) next faces #24 Gonzaga (5-2) in the fifth place game at the Maui Invitational.

Sacre had 20 points and 23 rebounds for the Bulldogs, and Gray added 13 points.

Peterson had 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Friars.

The Friars (4-2) next play on 11/29 on the road at Albany (1-5).
