WASHINGTON STATE COUGARS
(6-1) @ (6-1)
GAME PREVIEW
The Zags enter the game coming off a 61-68 loss to Butler in the Championship Game of the Great Alaska Shootout. However they have won 9 of the past 11 meetings with the Cougar's including the blowout win
(93-67) over WSU this season in the opening round of the G.A.S. The Cougars enter the game having won 4 straight since the loss and look to hand the Bulldogs just their 4th loss inside the Kennell since 2004
(Gonzaga is 64-3)
THE GAME
The Bulldogs would be playing the game without their floor captain and leading scorer M. Bouldin (sprained ankle), but that wouldn't stop them from coming out strong in the 1st half behind a solid performance from S. Gray-13 pts 3/4 3pt and they would take a
42-40 lead into the locker room.
In the 2nd half M. Capers would move into the starting lineup and draw the defensive assignment of covering Gray. With Gray under wraps, Bouldin out of the game and FR E. Harris on the bench with 3 fouls, Gonzaga would struggle to find anyone who could put the ball in the hoop. WSU on the other hand would get a career night from SO D. Castro as the Cougs outscored the Zags 41-28 to pull off the huge upset win and get their revenge.

Coach Dezaron "I am very proud of DC tonight. He played amazing. He told me of his goal of avg a double double for the season and he since then he has done it 2 games in a row. We needed it tonight with Klay in a shooting slump and defenses really keying on him."
