I hate that trade for Philly by the way (only because I am a 76ers fan and would absolutely hate to have RJ on our team). RJ would cause a log jam at the guard and SF spot....and Iverson would never agree to come off the bench which would mess with their team chemistry....I forsee the 76ers going down in flames in your association ........that's after they beat up on the Spurs of course
hey man. thanks for the comment!

i control all 30, so i was really trying to have it make some kind of sense for the other team...i swear i was!

Iggy is listed as a SF/SG so I thought he could move over to the SG slot and then the 76ers would have two athletic wings to go with Lou Williams. my thinking is, if we have all that money committed in a bad deal to Dalembert, why not move him to open up some PT for Speights (who is doing really well) and still get someone who can contribute?

So even though they're stuck in a bad contract (Dalembert), they save money, get someone they can use, and open up time for Speights. Plus, RJ expires next year, so they may move him then.

As it turns out he's actually playing really well for them. As far as Iverson, yeah, that's prob the most unrealistic part of the trade - AI to the bench! ha! Oh well it's the videogame world, you can't have 100% realism! :P

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Spurs slipped past the Philadelphia 76ers last night in a matchup of teams that made a trade with one another just 11 days ago. The game was decided mostly by the players that weren't involved in the trade, as Tim Duncan led all scorers with 27 points, and Tony Parker chipped in 19. Thaddeus Young had a great game for the Sixers, scoring 18 points on just 9 shots.

The Spurs took a 71-63 lead into the 4th quarter, but saw that lead evaporate quickly as the Sixers went on a 7-0 run to close the gap to 71-70. The Spurs then clamped down on defense and sealed the game when Parker drove and dished to Shane Battier for an open 3 and a 84-78 lead with 2:48 left in the game. Sixers leading scorer Andre Iguodala had just 10 points on 5-16 shooting. Newcomer Richard Jefferson had 10 points on 4-11 from the field.

Spurs Notes: Tim Duncan is averaging 19.6 points, 11 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game over his last 5 games. Over the same stretch, Tony Parker is averaging 17.4 points and 5.6 assists

Are you actually going to play all 82 games? Man, I wish I was that dedicated...Lol. I think thats why I play college hoops so much because those seasons lat between 25-35 games.

hey man! I'm going to try! i'm really enjoying this game...i love the NBA and i don't really have a desire to play/buy any other game...which is kind of unusual for me. i'm already like 15 games in, and it's flown by.

you should check out mattlanta's thread, he's played like 60 games or so of his season!

SAN ANTONIO
– The San Antonio Spurs used a big third quarter to beat the Boston Celtics last night at the AT&T Center, 99-92. Tony Parker led the Spurs with 21 points and 8 assists, winning the matchup with Rajon Rondo. Rondo picked up 2 quick fouls in the first quarter and never settled into a rhythm, finishing with just 9 points.

After shooting just 1-11 from 3 point range in the first half, San Antonio hit 4 of 8 attempts in the 2nd half to outscore the Celtics by 14. With the Spurs up 3 late in the game, Manu Ginobili missed a 3 point attempt, but the follow was slammed home by Sam Dalembert, to go up 5 with 59.3 seconds left. From there, the Spurs shot free throws to seal the victory. "We know they've struggled early in the season," Gregg Popovich said of the Celtics, "but we still expect them to be there in May and June, so this was a nice win for us."

Paul Pierce led the Celtics with 19 points and 7 assists. Tim Duncan continued his strong play, with 19 points and 11 rebounds on 9-13 shooting.
