(tried this last year but just got tooooo busy... so i promise to keep it going this year)

THE RETURN OF "CLUTCH CITY"

A HOUSTON ROCKETS DYNASTY

• controlling all 30 teams but only managing the Rockets & key moves here & there
• i will play some games, watch cpu vs. cpu on some & sim others. i plan on covering at least one Rockets game per franchise week & a NBA "AROUND THE LEAGUE" (NBA.COM) per franchise Sunday
• i also plan to cover at least one non-Rockets (Game of the Month) game per franchise month
• association file: YeLLz aSSoCiaTioN eXPeRieNCe based on all real life events up until February 19th, 2010, everything before that date is all there including injuries, trades, suspensions & everything after will be how the dynasty plays out
• Roster: Nogster 2.0
• Draft Classes: Vyras's draft classes thru 2011 with additional CAP's
• Sliders: YeLLz SiM SLideRS
• D-League: there are quite a few real D-leaguers in my association thanks to MattUMD224's thread, "How to make D-League mean something in association mode"... so i will be posting every now & then about the D-League as well.

i worked really hard on my format so i hope i can get a few followers.

this is the first game since we've aquired Kevin Martin & it will be a good gauge of how well we can do in the future.

the first quarter started of pretty slow with a lot of fouls & a lot of easy baskets. Granger & Brooks were ice cold as Watson & Martin carried the load for their teams, respectively.

second quarter was more of the same. we totally shot down their 3-point game & closed out on everything. the only thing that kept us in the game was Kyle Lowry attacking the rim & getting fouled.
(IND 55 - HOU 54)

the third quarter got off to a tragic start after Dunleavy caught fire & Granger started hitting some shots. Aaron Brooks remained ice cold & the Roy Hibbert pounded us on the offensive glass in the quarter.
(IND 87 - HOU 76)

the fourth quarter got off to a good start as Chase Budinger hit 2 big threes for us & Dunleavy picked up his 5th foul & had to sit. our defense locked in & Battier came in & hit 3 huge threes in the final 5 minutes of the game. we took the lead within the 2 minute mark but we failed to come up with the loose balls & could not grab a rebound to save our lives. it was a 1 point game at the 30 second point until the intentional foul game started. Aaron Brooks had an awful games and will need to re-evaluate his role now with the addition of Kevin Martin.



looks like we've got some practice ahead of us & it looks as if Martin will be a good match for us in the future but we have got to figure out our rotation & get back to Houston "hustle" defense.

AROUND THE LEAGUE

the hornets have been struggling in the month of february due to the injury of Chris Paul. Marcus Thornton, Darren Collison & David West have picked up their scoring considerably over this stretch, but you can see how much they miss CP3 down the stretch of games.
