Rumors???
Coach Seward Addresses Rumors

Little Rock, AR (AP): I'm here in front of the media to address any rumors that may have came up. To start of with, yes schools have offered me jobs. Those Teams are:

UCLA Bruins
Texas Longhorns
Purdue Boilermakers
Ohio State Buckeyes
North Carolina Tar Heels
Memphis Tigers
Kansas Jayhawks

Automatically people assume I am leaving. That is another rumor that I will be addressing. YES, I will be a Coach next year. NO, I will not be the Coach fo any other team except for the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans. I will be returning to UALR for the 2009-2010 season and hope to carry the Trojans on to another successful season. Thank you for the support and I'll see you next year!!!!!

Re: Coaching Legacy of Shawn Seward - (NCAA BB 09)

New Conference?

Little Rock, AR (AP): Most of you have been hearing the news of the C-USA offering Arkansas-Little Rock an invitation to join their conference replacing Rice for the 2009-2010 school year. When I was presented with the offer, I met with Coach Seward and had a three hour meeting discussing the pros and cons of switching conferences.

If we switch, we will have harder competition, bigger travel schedule, more work to be done. The meeting lasted about three hours and we have made a decision. I think I should let Coach Seward reveal it to you.

On behalf of the University of Arkansas of Little Rock, we will officially be joining the C-USA effective immediately. We feel that this will bring a good change to the University and hope that most of you will continue supporting us through our Conference switch.

Re: Coaching Legacy of Shawn Seward - (NCAA BB 09)

Confidence Booster!
UALR Opens 2009 Season Successfully!

Little Rock, AR (AP): After a heartbreaking ending in the NCAA Tournament, the UALR Trojans start preparations for the 2009-2010 Season. Their first foe would be the Braves of Bradley. UALR with the 3rd ranked recruiting class comes into this game with a huge monkey on their back.

First half was close with both teams shooting well. In the second half, UALR ran away with it and won the game 82-61. Top recruit, Dennis Lynch, gave a great showing in his first ever college game with 12 points and 4 rebounds.

The Trojans improve their record to 1-0 (0-0). Coach Seward's career record improves to 28-7 (14-4). The Trojans will play Towson on November 11th.

"To start a season off with a win makes anyone feel good. Its just hard on the team that gives up that win on opening day!"

Re: Coaching Legacy of Shawn Seward - (NCAA BB 09)

Good Lookin'
UALR Goes Two-in-a-Row!

Towson Center Arena (AP): The Trojans seem to be a serious bunch this year. Last year they was never able to win two straight games with a margin of victory over 15 points. Tonight they took on the Tigers of Towson University. For the second consecutive game, the game was close at halftime but UALR ran away with it in the second half.

Scoring 43 in the second half, UALR defeats the Towson Tigers 72-54 to score their second victory this year. The Trojans improve their record to 2-0 (0-0). Coach Seward's career record goes to 29-7 (14-4). They will play the VCU Rams tomorrow at home.

"This year has started off great. We're working together just like last year. With the new recruits coming in, I thought it would be a tough challenge for everyone to get along, but the veteran players welcomed the Freshman to the court and got busy."
