For the past few years the Rockets have tried to find that superstar to step into the role Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon stepped out of by retiring. They have had Yao Ming, T-Mac, K-Mart, Kyle Lowry, Marcus Camby, Hell even add Mutombo and Scola as failed stars. But now it looks like we have the guy we need to compete in the playoffs. James Harden! He has shown glimpses of success in OKC and should be able to fit in the role the Rockets put him in these next few years.
Right now we have a VERY young team composed with people who have not started in an NBA game in their lives.
--------------
The T-Rob Project:
After giving up Patrick Patterson and others to get Thomas Robinson we look to start him right away so he can maximize his potential in this NBA system. He did great in college which got him a Top 10 pick in the draft. There is little depth in our bench especially behind T-Rob himself. If we can sketch him enough we should be able to make him a Dub Dub machine and maybe even a ROY shot for this year. This should be an interesting year.
After being traded to the Rockets it seems like James Harden is no joke. He put up 29 points on 19 shot attempts. His defense wasnt stellar but it is better than Kevin Martin's defense by far. He came up with 2 clutch steals and 1 block to stuff his stat sheet.
-----
Jeremy Lin shows doubters that he can ball coming up with 19 points 7 boards and 5 dimes along with the team high 4 steals. He was shooting 50% and also hit down some free throws to help this team.
----
Chandler Parsons didn't show up much this game shooting 36% and went 1/2 at the charity stripe. If we worked on our defense as a team there should not have been even a glimpse of a comeback in this game.
----
T-Rob and Asik were manning the paint down but could not stop more athletic guys who got right past Lin and Harden. T-Rob did nice getting Monroe into foul trouble by shooting 11 free throws on the night. If the Pistons were to have missed a free throw when we were fouling we would have had a shot at sending it to OT.
