ESPN's Live Coverage of the 2009 NBA Draft Combine

David Thorpe:
Hello everyone and welcome to ESPN's Live Coverage of the 2009 NBA Draft Combine. We've had some great workouts today, getting a glimpse and the promise these young players have as they try to make a name for themselves one last time before the NBA Draft. Along for the ride with me are my colleagues Andy Katz, Jay Bilas and Chad Ford. Guys, what did you see that you like so far?

Andy Katz: Blake Griffin, who is believed to be the #1 overall pick in this year's draft really stood out to me. He's only participating in workouts for today, but was he ever dominant. He really showed he has some great big man skills and should have a bright future in the NBA. I'm sure the Clippers are happy to know that with the number one pick.

Jay Bilas: The point guards really look to be a loaded group this year. You've got Tyreke Evans, Johnny Flynn, Brandon Jennings, Ty Lawson, Jrue Holliday; all of these guys looked like legitimate 1st round draft picks.

Thorpe: Were there any projected 2nd round guys that you think will have a big impact?

Chad Ford: There were a couple guys who I really enjoyed watching. AJ Price, out of UConn looked really solid out there, great ball handling skills and excellent court vision. Chase Budinger from Arizona is an athletic freak in my opinion, he'll be a great pick for a team looking for someone in the second round.

Bilas: I happened to catch one of the games for the late second round guys and one that really impressed me was Tyrell Coley. After two years at Virginia Tech, he's been criticized a little for coming out so early, but he's looked pretty sharp out there. He's got a good jumper and very good passing skills despite being 5-foot-11. He's like a Nate Robinson-type, but more of a better passer.

Thorpe: Well that's all the time we have for today, stay tuned tomorrow as we provide more coverage from 2009 NBA Draft Combine.

My Stats:
14 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 turnovers, 5/10 FG, 3/4 FT
