Last season, the Milwaukee Bucks successfully made the leap from the lottery to the playoffs. Brandon Jennings helped catapult the team into the postseason and national spotlight, Andrew Bogut made huge strides on both ends of the floor, and the team demanded respect from the Eastern Conference's elite teams.

No team was a bigger surprise than the Milwaukee Bucks a year ago, becoming the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference despite the loss of third team All-NBA center Andrew Bogut for the last 13 games of the season. Point guard Brandon Jennings came in an made an immediate impact in his rookie season, but will have to be more consistent in year two. Milwaukee was extremely active in the offseason, bringing in Corey Maggette, Drew Gooden, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Earl Boykins, Jon Brockman, Keyon Dooling and rookie Larry Sanders. The Bucks also re-signed free agent John Salmons, who was a huge part of the Bucks playoff push. This is a young, talented bunch, coached by one of the best in the business, Scott Skiles. Milwaukee will push the Bulls in the Central Division and challenge for home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

This is my 2nd favorite team as well, im from LA, so im a big Laker fan, but I got to see Brandon Jennings play a few times in high school, and im a big fan of Mbah A Moute, Bogut, Larry Sanders and Ilyasova.

Redd will be traded some time during this season. We havnt decided exactly what we're gonna do with him, but his contract will definitely be traded before the trade deadline.

MILWAUKEE BUCKS WEEK 1 (GAME 1)

Bucks start the season with loss to the Hornets

"We came out the gates swinging, and even went into halftime with a 1 point lead, 33-32. Cp3 and the Hornets, answered tho, outscoring us 31-22. We didn't match up well with New Orleans. Their defense was superb, ours wasnt so great. Salmons had trouble guarding Marcus Thornton, who had an excellent game, dropping 27 points.

We have high hopes for the season, and to come out and lose the opener to a team that we should be defeating is a little bit dissappointing. We couldnt keep them off the glass, both Okafor and David West recorded double digit rebounding marks. If you can't control the boards, you cant expect to win basketball games.

Brandon (Jennings) had a great game, can't ask for more from our 2nd year point guard. 25 points and 8 assists, and he did an excellent job on Chris Paul. In the future we're going to need to get Bogut the ball more, 8 points off 8 attempts just isnt enough for a player as talented as him. - Coach Scott Skiles
