Thanks bro! I was so mad after that Celtics loss haha. I thought I had the game the whole way and then they pulled ahead. Update coming in a few.

Re: Back to Glory: A Chicago Bulls Dynasty

Heat @ Bulls

Bulls Never Look Back As They Pounce The Heat
By: John Weemus

There are a few key games in a season that have the ability to raise your team to the next level. Those games raise the confidence of the players and make them perform better for the rest of the year. This is the exact game the Bulls had. They end up crushing the Heat 129-109.

This game came at a great time as the Bulls were not doing the hottest. It seemed like the games they should be winning, they were losing and losing bad at that. Having a win as big as this under their belt will certainly raise their expectations and morale at least until the all star break.

Speaking of all-stars, Derrick Rose dominated this game. He put the team on his back in the first scoring more than half of the points. The Heat had no answer for him. He piled on 37 points and 13 assists in 32 minutes of play. That's right, 32 minutes! That's it! If he can produce at this level every game the Bulls will have no issues with any team.

He was not the only all star on display out there however. Luol Deng posted an amazing performance. It seemed as if the Bulls had a strategy of keeping Deng on the court when LeBron James was off the court. This paid off big time. He posted 22 points of his own going 10-11 shooting in the field. Not to mention he only played 30 minutes. The Bulls played a very efficient game tonight and that is why they came out on top. They maximized their opportunities.

While I do think the Bulls played a near flawless game tonight I have to give credit to what I feel made the outcome the way it was. The Bulls mixed up zone defenses on the Heat. That's right, zone defense. This is almost a sin for this Bulls squad to do such a thing since it is almost never run. It paid off tonight. They ran a mix of the 3-2 zone, 2-3 zone, and the 1-3-1 zone. Every unit that was put on the court seemed to have its own designated zone defense. Obviously a huge focus was on shutting down James and Wade. I feel like the team did a pretty good job. James started slow only putting up 4 points going into the half. Wade fizzled out in the second half putting up only 2.

My favorite point in the game was when the Bulls switched their defense up to the 1-3-1 zone. The Heat seemed completely lost. They could not find a shot to save their life and it seemed like they were tossing the ball around like they were playing dodge ball. They were throwing the ball from one end of the court to the other. It just surprised me that they completed most of these and none of them went out of bounds. It was amusing to say the least.

Carlos Boozer and George Hill also contributed in big ways tonight. They were both pretty clutch in the third quarter when the Bulls put on a 40 point quarter. They came out firing after the half and they never turned back. They say that a game is decided in the third quarter, for once they were right. I suppose when a team scores 40 points in one quarter and they had the lead to begin with, that is a good indicator that they will win the game.

Now comes, my 3 Keys to The Win:

Keys To Win:
- Fast break. Bulls scored a TON of points on the fast break.
- Defense. The Bulls threw defenses at the Heat that they were unprepared for.
- Derrick Rose. He was unstoppable and was very deserving of his player of the game.

To sum up this game, brilliant. Absolutely brilliant play from the coaching staff of the Bulls and the players. A game like this is something the Bulls really need to go back to on occasion to see what kind of potential this young team has. Here's to hoping the Bulls can roll with this new found momentum and get some more W's.

Unfortunately your going to have to wait for next season. I will be sure to include your guy in some college updates next season. I plan on having this season done with by next week so you shouldn't have to wait too long to have your guy have some updates.
