3-0 Columbia- 54
3-1 Kennesaw State- 53

Kennesaw State suffered yet another heart breaking loss as they dropped the championship game to Columbia in the Columbia Classic. Columbia got off to a 14-2 start, and never trailed in a game that Kennesaw should have won.
The Owl's looked flat coming out, however Raoul Trammell scored 13 points in the first 3:30 of the second half to get the Owl's back in the game and Gregg Bouma scored 11 second half points, but a series of late fouls and crazy shots came up just short. Tasmin Schwartz managed to hit a crazy three ball with 3.2 seconds left to make it 53 to 54, but the Owl's failed to get a foul on Columbia and the game ended there. The Owl's allowed Columbia to dominate the inside, which resulted in the Lion's sky high shooting (27 of 43).
Kennesaw was able to stay in the game via 18 points from beyond the three point line.

Kennesaw Top Players:

Gregg Bouma- 20 points, 4 reb, 3 ast, 9/14 FGs
Raoul Trammell- 16 points, 2 ast, 7/13 FGs, 2/5 3pts
Harvey Ewing- 10 points, 5/10 FGs, 0/2 3pts

3-2 Kennesaw State- 60
2-3 Florida International- 49

Kennesaw was able to rebound off the Columbia loss with a solid victory over FIU. The road was rocky to start for the Owl's falling behind early, trailing at halftime 30-29. However Raoul Trammell and Greg Bouma were able to kick in the offensive pressure again in the second half as the Owl's ran away with this one. Kennesaw is still struggling from the line however going 2 of 12 in this game.

4-2 Kennesaw State- 52
3-2 Utah valley State- 55

It was another dissapointing performance from the Kennesaw State offense that cost them a game that coach Hansen say "they should have won". After falling behind 25-13 early on, the team struggled to put together any points, shooting just .292 from the field. The team made a late surge, including a shot to win the game on the last shot of the game, but fell short, as Harvey Ewings three ball went in and out as the buzzer blared.

"We played a terrible game. No inside presence, no fire, we played with our heads and arms down, we played like we were beat up." said coach Noah Hansen.

After the game, audible yelling could be heard from the Owl's locker room. The Owl's drop to a 4-3 record now with the loss.

Kennesaw Top Players:

Raoul Trammell- 10 points, 5 reb, 2 ast, 4 stl, 4/13 FGs
Gregg Bouma- 9 points, 7 reb, 2 ast, 4 stl, 3/14 FGs
Trey Ballinger- 6 points, 11 reb, 3 blocks

Re: 29 and Tryin' | Coach Hansen

0-5 Stetson- 54
4-3 Kennesaw State- 75

Coach Hansen let the media know after mondays embaressing loss, that his team would look different the next time out. It did. The same Kennesaw State team that could't hit a shot to save its life earlier in the week, put on a brilliant showing, shooting 61% (33 of 54). Point Guard Tasmin Schwartz racked up 11 assists, most going to Harvey Ewing, who had a game high 23 points. Gregg Bouma did his usual work in the transition game, scoring 19 points off of 5 steals. Trey Ballinger held down the inside with 8 points and 7 rebounds, but failed to record a block. Sheray Alpay even got in on the act, scoring 9 points on 3/3 shooting, including 2/2 from 3 point range and another 3 point play off of an and-one play.

"We played good basketball tonight, we created points off of the defense's work and we hit shots. The only thing I was dissapointed in was rebounding." Said Coach Hansen

The Owl's recorded just 20 rebounds in the game, giving up 7 offensive boards to Stetson.

Kennesaw Top Players:

Harvey Ewing: 23 points, 2 reb, 1 block, 10/17 FGs, 2/3 3pts
Gregg Bouma: 19 points, 3 reb, 4 ast, 5 stl, 9/14 FGs
Tasmin Schwartz: 6 points, 11 ast

Re: 29 and Tryin' | Coach Hansen

Hey you look like you have a good team on your hands... I was just wondering which game this was because SC Upstate isn't in your conference and they joined the A-Sun in the 07-08
